lol +1I thought it was obvious too, but I wanted to give the impression I had to struggle to reach that conclusion so he wouldn't feel like an idiot.

Talking shit as usual. It hasn't even been hours. Well, only exactly now, and not at the time of your post. Pathetic.
No, we all get it.
But guess what? They like it just the way things are.
These people are religious fundamentalists that are intent on destroying the world.
Personally, it would not surprise me one bit if the upper ranks of Daesh aren't doing the whole YOLO thing, forgive me for even saying that, and living like Columbian Drug lords ATM.
You seem a bit testier than usual.
Please understand that a few minutes of me thinking accomplishes what would take you years.

I think you have that backwards, that they gained access to jobs once they ceased using bullets and started using words. Same with autonomy; people are ever so much nicer to you when you aren't trying to kill them, and people aren't likely to invest hard-earned money where their shiny new factory is likely to be blown up or burned down as a symbol of the cause.
Indeed. A normal person would need many years to reach your level of insanity.
One hour and fifty-two minutes is not two or more hours, and neither is "a few minutes." Read a book for once. Are you fifteen?
Many of ISIS recruits have college educations and left good jobs to join.
This is what ISIS is about: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2421232&highlight=blastingcap
In the OP link.

It's good, though.
It's wholly religiously motivated. They believe they are right.
The only thing they'll listen to is a bullet in the ear.
They are fundamentalist Islamists.
It is what it is.
Grasshopper still hasn't grasped a concept, and unfortunately I think never will.
The egg, of course. Reptiles and fish and amphibians laid them millions of years before there were chickens. ;DSo which came first? The chicken or the egg?
This has nothing to do with the Iraq War which was won in a few weeks. It has to do with us not understanding that there was and is no dynamic in the area that leads to anything remotely resembling what the West would call a healthy society. Saddam Hussein operating rape rooms and muder squads isn't better than ISIS doing the same.God I hate ISIS, they're giving the conservatives an excuse to claim the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq was justified. Even if you argue as I do that ISIS would never have happened if the U.S. didn't go to war with Iraq in '03, the Repubs will still get many on their side (thanks to ISIS) to send American combat troops to beat ISIS and eventually try to win the whole war in Iraq.
And if the U.S. does win the entire war in Iraq then as I said above the conservatives can say it was the right thing to do after all to invade way back in 2003 because the result was winning the war even though a late win. Then U.S. opinion polls may swing towards favoring more U.S. troops to be sent there if Repubs request it in order to stay on top in Iraq. A nightmare scenario from my point of view anyway. But just peachy fine to the Repubs.

Seriously, no one sensible is going to invest in jobs until the violence wains, if only for fear of losing their investment (private sector) or having the generated wealth turned into more effective violence (public sector). Only an idiot would throw money into a group bent on killing them in the hopes things will improve. After that it's a feedback loop, where people miraculously discover that prosperity beats old hatred and thus, become a better place to invest.

Even this might have been avoided had we left the Iraqi Army intact and merely changed the civilian masters. Maybe.

Well, one of us certainly hasn't (more like some, if you include vic, moon, et al). :hmm: pretty sure it's not me...

Which state's own armies?
You mean the ones from Iraq and Syria?
Which rock have you been under for the last year?
I DO think we never should have gone there. I supported the war, but I think the underlying driver was the desire to show leaders of Islamic nations that they, not just their expendables, would suffer from their bad behavior. That was amply demonstrated by toppling the government of Afghanistan. We got a lot of good from it, but also a lot of bad, and at a terrible price.Watch it, Bub; you're starting to sound like maybe you believe we never should have gone there in the first place.
:'(
OK, OK, I lied. I understood he accidentally left out the you instantaneously.
Yep, still not there.
Harumphnff.
Finally some honesty out of you. Bravo. Wasn't so hard, was it?
