Well, Detroit is 7-5 in Thanksgiving game matchups in the last 12played. So, your argument seems somewhat flawed that the games are always crappy because of the Lions. Hell, they beat the Patriots 34-9 in 2000, beat the Bears 55-20 in 97. Even some of their losses in recent years were good games. Patriots 20, Lions 12 in 2002 for example was a great game. Though the Colts rolled over them last year.

And, they were embarassing this year of course, and I think Mariucci deserves some of that blame, but as others have posted, Millen needs to go, and William Clay Ford needs to sell the team to someone who gives a damn.

There was talk that the NFL was going to take the Thanksgiving game away from the Lions and give it to another team, but the team's owner said that if the NFL did that, Ford would stop being an NLF sponser - so the NFL caved.

No idea if that was just a rumor or the truth.

Yep, I agree. Living in Michigan I get the pleasure of hearing all about it and if I want to watch football, having to watch it. I gave up pro football years ago. Not because the Lions suck but because they always will and won't ever get better. Never. Ford is too loyal to management and coaches. (Fontes) Mooch shouldn't have been fired. Do they think any other coach wants to come here??? Not a chance. Millen is a dumbazz and a stupid football person. As long as these people keep filling the seats, Ford won't care about wins.
