Why did I throw Romo in there? Well because he will throw 4 picks in a game multiple times a season.

Every QB is going to have a bad day. Romo seems to have 6-7 bad days a season.

As for "watch him run into his lineman's ass a few more times", yeah I don't need to thanks. One really stupid play does not dictate whether a QB is good or bad. And I certainly don't watch Sanchez enough to make any type of call on his play. All I can see are stats and his stats aren't horrific enough to call him the worst QB ever in the NFL. He very well might be the worst starting QB in the NFL but I would still say that Michael Vick more likely takes that honor this year.

I can't argue much about Vick. Eagles should have pulled McNabb out of mothballs vs keeping Vick around.

QBs have auras about them, Sancheez's is just one of a loser. He makes everyone worse around him. Even as horrible as Teebow is, he made his lower teammates in Denver feel like winners and they won.

What makes Sancheez so bad is simply in intangible propensity to be a loser.

I (as a Packers zealot) submit TJ Rubley:

Perhaps his most infamous moment in the NFL came as a Green Bay Packer in a 1995 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Both starting quarterback Brett Favre and back-up quarterback Ty Detmer got injured in the game, but the Packers and Vikings were tied 24-24 with less than a minute to go and the Packers with the ball on the Minnesota 38 yard line. On 3rd and 1, coach Mike Holmgren called for a quarterback sneak. However, Rubley, the only remaining quarterback for the Packers, audibled and called a roll-out. He passed the ball and it was quickly intercepted, giving Minnesota the ball and eventually, the win.

Sooo much sense

Rubley served as a consultant for the film The Replacements, specifically coaching Keanu Reeves in his role as the starting quarterback for the fictional Washington Sentinels

Traditional football stats aren't that useful for determining how good a QB really is. A lot of games wind up looking closer than they were and QB stats look more favorable because in a blowout game, the winning team usually slows down on defense. They'll give up 5 or 10 yards at a time to avoid giving up big plays. On the flip side, the losing team will throw constantly since an incompletion stops the clock and it's a higher-reward strategy. It's not uncommon for a losing QB to wind up with more passing yards than the winner.

I don't know why everyone gave Wilfork credit for that play, it was clearly all Sanchez. Though Wilfork is a great player.

Also, QUADRA-VIEW of the butt fumble:

The funniest part of the whole Sanchez situation is the Jets just gave him a ton of guaranteed money last offseason. They can't cut him now without major cap penalties. And they traded for a backup (Tebow) who they can't play because HIS contract is loaded with incentives based on playing time. If Tebow plays for any significant number of snaps, a bunch of incentives kick in and he gets paid more than the Jets can afford.

Basically, the Jets are completely screwed until the 2014 season unless Sanchez somehow manages to un-regress.

is that the main reason they cant play tebow? I haven't been following football lately but just hearing how bad sanchez sucks but kept thinking to myself they have tebow.

The Karma police has been there all season. They deserve nothing less for the way they've treated Tebow. Clearly Teebs thought he had a shot in NY or he wouldn't have chosen NY over Jax, the lies they told are evident.

Tebow would have led that team to the playoffs

Say what you want about Tebow but he would have did a better job than Sanchez last night.

Wow. Hilarious if true.

The Jets are a clusterfuck of an organization if that is true. The GM should be fired on the spot for such a debacle.

After Rex Ryan benched Mark Sanchez last week, the Jets quarterback admitted it was both the best and worst experience of his life. Whether he learns from it is another issue, meaning New York could be in the market for the next franchise quarterback (which, apparently, doesn't include Tim Tebow). Except that the organization would take a huge salary-cap hit if it cuts ties with Sanchez this offseason.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora has previously reported the Jets are $20 million over the cap for 2013, and Sanchez is guaranteed $8.25 million. On Sunday, ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini continues to paint a bleak picture:

…There's no off-set in (Sanchez's) contract, meaning the Jets are on the hook for the entire salary regardless of how much he receives from another team. They could designate him as a June 1 cut. That would spread the cap charge over two seasons -- $12.35 million in '13 and $4.8 million in '14. Bottom line: He's uncuttable.

That's on Ryan and general manager Mike Tannenbaum. Whether owner Woody Johnson does anything about it is another matter.

Meanwhile, the Jets could also cut Sanchez, but Cimini writes "they'd get hit with an $8.9 million cap charge in '13" before adding what everybody already knows: "No team in its right mind would pick up the $8.25 million guarantee."

Put another way: The Jets are stuck with Sanchez, and Sanchez is stuck with the Jets. And they'll have to find away to improve on this year's disappointing effort while being $20 million over the cap.

Yeah, the problem is that the Jets TRADED for him. When you trade for a player, you take on the contract that his old team gave him. The Broncos gave him a contract that pays more if he plays more:

It's kinda long but the point is, if Tebow becomes the starting quarterback on the Jets, they will owe him all kinds of money that they don't have (because they already gave it to their other shitty QB, Mark Sanchez).

dats pretty funny if thats why they arent playing him. in that case they probably would have been better off not picking him up in the first place. its too bad for tebow and the fans, his sheet is fun ta watch

Yeah, looking at Tebow's contract, it seems obvious that the Jets got him solely for the attention and never intended to play him. Either that or they didn't even bother looking at the contract and thinking about it for any length of time before jumping in.

Neither one would surprise me, and the Jets deserve all the failure they get this season because of it. They need to clean house big time.

the jets can start mcelroy, so Tebow won't get pay, but the jets are still fuck with Dirty Sanchez's contract.
