I was listening to Marketplace on NPR at work, and they had this somewhat interesting story about a market study done by interviewing ~7500 computer users. The result was that the typical Mac owner bears a eerie resemblance to the Mac guy as portrayed in the Mac vs. PC commercials. Which, may be good for some people but the downside is that the sort of smug arrogant attitude of the Mac stereotype does bother some Mac owners.
Anyhow, I thought it was interesting since there does seem to be a sort of dislike for those Mac vs. PC ads and now there is at least some sort of concrete study to demonstrate why many people dislike those ads. As an aside, if it even matters, I can care less about what people think but I still found the story somewhat interesting.

edit: Included "Market Study" in title as I just now realized the thread title was a bit aggressive.
