You can start by switching a portion of field corn farms to sugar cane farms.
or just eliminate the laws prohibiting the import of cane.

I don't really mind HCFS being used in products as it probably isn't really that bad in moderation.
Now what I find annoying is that almost every single processed piece of food you buy has some HCFS. Why the hell does everything need sweeteners added?

Don't we still have sugar tariffs in place to protect American sugar and corn growers and shaft the American consumer?

Woot. I liked the taste of Pepsi throwback.
i wish coke would do this. i know people say they make a kosher version with sugar for holidays or something but...we dont get any of that here. id love to try it, even though im not big on soda.
Living in California has a benefit. Mexican Coke is sold at Costco. It's still pretty expensive at Costco though, but at least it's available.

Umm, yeah, I just picked up some mexican coke at Costco here in KENTUCKY. It's outrageously expensive to the tune of about a buck a bottle.
The anti-HFCS bullshit going on is about as big a scam as bottled water. Just look at the history of butter/margarine.

Nope it's like 83 cents (Cook county tax included) unit price. Not close.

And that's what I said. It's like organic food. People WANT to think it tastes better when it doesn't. It's just their mind making them think it tastes better.

But even if it's all in their minds, doesn't that count as well? Isn't that enough justification to buy organic food?

I just had some Pepsi Throwback last night and it tastes identical to regular Pepsi. Regular Pepsi is slightly sweeter. It's yet again your minds playing tricks on you. Just like the whole Organic foods tasting better which we know is not true.
I've compared Pepsi and Pepsi Throwback side by side. There is a subtle but noticeable difference in the taste. They cost the same at the store so I don't know why you're hating on it.

I've compared mountain dew throwback blind (we marked the bottom of paper cups, filled them up and then mixed them up so we couldn't tell the difference) and there's a noticable difference. A big part of it is that the soda doesn't have that sort of burn in your mouth feeling.

Sure if you want to spend more for the same thing then it's one's choice to do so. It's the same as bottled water as well.

BINGO!
Stupid people are still stupid.
The same HFCS feaks are the same ones that fall for the "it's organic so it must be better!" crap. They are also the same people who buy bottled water.
Write these companies and tell them you will never purchase any of their products again if they continue to cave to lunatics.
