Maybe they are trying to outrage people and Chauvin absolutely deserves to rot in prison for murdering Floyd. The thing is Trump pardoning him wouldn't actually get him out of prison, it would just get him transferred to a state prison as he was also sentenced to like 20 years in prison under state law.
So who knows what the results are of doing this other than making some Nazis happy but at least the immediate effect is just a different cell for that guy.
It's the message it would send. As brown as the second lady, or darker, fuck you. Could Trump hide him in a federal witness protection plan? Would you put it past him?Why would they cause race riots, when Derek Chauvin wills till be sitting in jail for murdering George Floyd, as that conviction is state level? Pardoning Derek Chauvin for civil rights violations won't cause riots. It will piss some people off, which is understandable, but it won't cause riots.. As wrong as it is, we have civil right violations excused on a daily basis around this country. A riot won't happen unless he gets pardoned for Floyd's murder at the state level, which won't happen.
It looks like he is in a federal prison in Texas. Let him walk out of the prison in Texas, would he be considered a fugitive? Would Abbot deny extradition to Minnesota as a favor to Trump, or just because he's also a raging racist?
