What should I do with the danger rooms? I have three rows in the stash saved. I could donate them to crafter or save them.

You don't need them until level 60 and mostly for a challenge or bit of variety even then.

I'd save maybe 2 of each rarity and donate the rest.

Once you reach 60, when you finish a danger room one of the rewards is more danger rooms, and you'll keep getting more drops, so it's easy to get more later.

I'm not an incredible player, but I've been playing on and off since 2014 and have all but 4 characters and all of my characters are level 60. A couple tips:

1. Do the entire story mode at least once on one character. Four of the many mission rewards you with Power Points (3 points each = 12 points), but additional characters can travel directly to those missions after it is unlocked the first time, saving a lot of time.

2. Midtown is a great place to go from level 1-20. At level 20, start doing the Legendary Quests as they award MASSIVE XP bonuses...

3. Always use boosts when you get them unless they are specifically tied to a particular game location or enemy type. The Rare Item Find and Special Item Find essentially do nothing, so don't save them. XP is all that matters - it helps you level faster and get Omega Points and max out your Legendary Item.

4. Gear - Cosmic (Yellow) gear drops as low as level 1, and Uniques (Brown) start dropping as low as level 8 (maybe lower, but I've never seen it). Don't waste time comparing White/Green/Blue/Purple gear. You will level so fast and find so much more gear by just playing the game instead, plus you will learn more of the game mechanics without relying on gear as much. I have made it all the way to level 60 using level 15 uniques and cosmics. The reality is that the game just isn't very hard until you reach level 60 and start doing Cosmic challenges and raids.

5. Passive skills are great. Damage bonus and damage reduction will be your salvation. I usually max these out while leveling, then reevaluate after hitting level 60 and getting good gear.

6. Pets/Cybernetic Vacuum - by equipping a pet, you can go into your game settings and have the game automatically pick up all loot below a certain grade. This loot will automatically be donated to your pet, filling up the Green/Blue/Purple/Yellow bars until you get a bonus (+8% health, +2 to all melee powers, etc.). If you don't like what you get, you can always reset it by visiting a crafter. Brown Uniques must be manually donated, but offer up to +3 stat bonuses (+3 Strength/Fighting/Energy, etc.). The vacuumed gear also gives your a small percentage back as credits, so you make money while you do it.

7. Crafting... The secret to crafting is to level up your crafter and enchanter by donating gear and assorted valuables that you find. NEVER donate uniques (brown items), you will use these later. Once your Crafter is leveled enough, you will have the option to EXCHANGE 3 duplicate uniques to a chest of 50,000 credits. Do this and then donate the chest of credits to the crafter and he will hit level 20 instantly. Done. Use this same method to level up the Enchanter. Leveling the weapon and gear vendors has done nothing for me.

8. Hightown Patrol - this area is harder than Midtown, but every single boss drops a unique, whether you're level 28 or level 60. I'm not sure when/if they'll change that.

9. Industry City - finishing event waves always results in a loot crate that sometimes contains a unique, but ALWAYS contains XP orbs. You can't lose.

10. It's far too late to offer my input, but I used birthday cake slices for one thing and one thing only: 3rd Anniversary Cakes. Every single cake contains a guaranteed Grade-80 Legendary. These cost 1,000 Odin Marks each, making it normally very expensive to equip on all your characters, but they are so, so worth it. I got 10 of them during the event and traded in about half of them for 800 Odin Marks each, so now I've got over 4,000 Odin Marks with which to buy the Legendaries that I want. So if you still have hundreds or thousands of cake slices... it's a great way to spend it.

11. Playing terminals nets you crystal shards. Use these to buy cheap fortune cards and boxes. I have unlocked at least 5 characters randomly, several costumes, and gotten upgrade tokens as well. There's always at least a couple boosts from them too. Well worth it.

You know, I really hate it when events like his occur during my hiatuses with the game. I did log in and see the 3rd anniversary cake awards, and with the slice upgrade from older cakes, I thought that was damn amazing. The value of level 80 Legendaries is just too good.

Alas, I just couldn't drag myself in to grind or even play casually during those weeks. :\

It was the opposite for me, I had an unprecedented amount of time on my hands. I think I averaged about an hour per day for almost the entire event. Cosmic Midtown was ridiculous, so many loot drops that you would spend the entire time between boss waves picking up and transporting loot to sell because it wouldn't all fit... even after vacuuming all non-uniques and letting other items evaporate.

Now that the game is back to "normal", I'm kinda bored. LOL

Yeah, but that is like Cosmic Midtown on any standard day, and especially Midtown Madness on Mondays.

One of the things that kept me away was imagining the anxiety of dealing with that loot when all rotating events are active at one time.

What is 'playing terminals'?

the green red and cosmic terminals that are one of the game modes. Those instant repeatable maps with an assigned boss at the end of each, and they are also part of the daily rotation.

I guess playing terminals could mean a couple of things depending on what event is active, or just if they are talking about grinding specific bosses for specific loot--like Doc Oc for his arms or Kurse for GoK or quick runs to Taskmaster for XP/Omega leveling.

Odin's Bounty even has a 3 hour rotational bonus scheme where certain game maps have the Odin Boost. It used to be MM/ICP/Terminals...and no one ever likes ICP.

Well since my chars are up to about 27, I don't think I've seen that yet. I don't even remember the 'legendary quests' mentioned available from 20.

The game throws a LOT at players and doesn't explain in game. Players are very much expected to read the official forums for news and tips.

Next time you click on a way point (glowing blue shield portal) you can choose between three tabs of locations: Story locations, Terminals, and Challenges.

Legendary Quests and all other active quests can be viewed by pressingthe L key. There is also a text box under the map in the upper right corner that you can click on to expand and see the different active quests.

Legendary Quests are randomly generated for each individual character, but eventually repeat. You can do them at any time and leave in the middle of one and come back to it days later if you want, but they usually only take 2-5 minutes to complete.

Shared Quests are shared among all your characters with fixed goals for a 24 hour period. If you don't finish within that time, all progress is lost.

Then there are Influence Missions or quests which are composed of one daily mission and one weekly mission. These can only be picked up in Hammer Bay and typically take longer to complete than other quests.

Remember that if you are in a party with other players, all quests go faster since all party kills and objectives count toward individual goals.

Well since my chars are up to about 27, I don't think I've seen that yet. I don't even remember the 'legendary quests' mentioned available from 20.

Green terminals are accessible at level 20, red at about 35 to 50? and cosmic at 60.

as nickdanger said, access active quests with the L button, and at the top you can select current active Legendary quest. You will want to focus on those for now and complete them every time it resets. These are great for XP from level 20 on.

I'd suggest sticking to one of your toons now and get it to level 60, which is really easy now with the way they have boosted XP in story mode. With 1 level 60 toon, your account-wide XP bonus hits 10 or 15%. First 5 toons at 60 will net you something like 75% account-wide XP bonus. Every toon after that is +3% per level 50 toon and +5% for every level 60, maximum of 200% permanent account bonus.

If you go into your character stat screen--I think you can do this in the tabs above your character portrait in the inventory screen--you can find current account bonuses by scrolling down into the various stat sections.

This screen, if you really get into the game, you will want to be familiar with your crit chance/crit damage and now brutal chance/damage(because that is now important with Omegas and newer OP game-and-build-killing artifacts ) among other stats.

It used to be the primary goal was to hit 40% crit chance....now it is something like 80% crit with 60+ brutal or something completely insane...and I think that is now for every character because the builds have become rather flat overall (the game has always been DPS DPS DPS, anyway) --with inherent skills through character reviews and new designs, including the sweeping character-based unique sets, Hitting Crit at about 35-40% is already a given, so it doesn't require crazy high-end artifacts or much grinding now. That is why, with Omegas on top of this, Brutal is a big focus.

By the way--Omega system is a secondary tier of stat leveling for each character (Account-wide point system that you simply collect as you level all your characters and collect XP orbs anywhere. You've probably already noticed points accumulating. Yuu can set Omega levels for each character individually, from a total pool of points that is shared by all characters. It will make sense) You will be able to access this at level 30 in the P menu.

Brutal--it is basically a crit of a crit. Brutals only trigger as a %chance on top of a critical hit. So, you want both the crit hit chance and brut hit chance to be rather high. They are rather devastating--I mentioned earlier that my Kitty Pryde was Brutaling for ~4mill (or is that billion? I suddenly forget the standard) on her Phasing Samurai hits. Eventually, you want the majority of your hits to be crits or brutals--big orange numbers and especially big red numbers.

But that is end game stuff once you have your set of well-rolled uniques and decent artifacts, runewords, all of that mess. At that point, the game builds boil down to simply:"Get Moar Brutals."

Or you can skip all that mess and just level up toons, collect splinters, buy more toons.

Oh, and you will want to pick up the free Deadpool Teamup if you haven't already

https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelhero...unt_for_pirate_deadpool_achievement_spoilers/

There's actually 2 versions of DP teamup (exact same character with skills, just different costumes and dialogue) and DP is one of the most powerful, easy-mode TUs out there. Very, very useful. Especially if you want to do the cosmic trial later on, he makes it super easy for noobs once you have him leveled to 60. (His ultimate, Server Lag, is rather game-breaking)

I encourage you to work on getting him asap because TUs take forever to level.

I think you can also get the free shield agent and maybe another 1 or 2 free TUs? ...I think you can still get Howard the Duck? not sure.

Thanks for the info.

I can't get deadpool yet, I got to step 5 and it is in chapter 9, I'm level 30, that's 51+.

What's good to get with the cosmic worldstones that are dropping now?

I started on omega - someone said get spintech first, I assume that means up to level 10?

Spintech is the best Omega in general, but as with all of them, maxing each node out kinda depends on your available pool vs diminishing returns per point spent.

that being said...Spin tech doesn't really diminish. Flat damage against bosses (the only things that don't wilt against simple mob-clearing skills) is always good.

In general, you want to focus on +attributes like Fighting (Everyone), Strength (Physical-based characters), Energy (to a lesser degree, but energy and mental-based toons). Then you look at crit/brut based skills and your toon's specific type: mental, physical, mele ranged, etc.

Honestly, it's mostly the same throughout the game for all heroes, with a few tweeks for specific classes. There are only a few Omegas that provide really cook synergy with certain heroes, like Legion w/ Scarlet Witch and her signature. I think there is maybe one other toon that is worth putting points into Legion, but that one node really makes Scarlet Witch godlike.

but after Spintech, Warpath is a favorite (+Fighting, but also something like 250 points to start, so a spendy one--but it's worth every tier you can unlock)

There was a time where you would use Cosmic Worldstones to buy The Power Cosmic Legendary for "hybrid" heroes: heroes that do 2 or 3 damage types (physical, mental, energy).

First thing you should buy is the The Power Doop recipe for your Enchanter. 400 Cosmic Worldstones. Almost every character benefits from it. Doop Ectoplasm is good for some characters as well.

Late game, buy the Cosmic Insignia Upgrade.

yeah, need power doop recipe and ecto is good.

remember that you can reroll those vendors that sell artifacts before buying a high-rolled version of that artifact. Many of those are very good, like Doop Ecto, so you will want the best roll you can get when you are dumping currency into them. Off the top of my head, max roll ecto is something like 500/800/500? I forget, specifically, but for most items you can hold down alt while hovering over them and it shows you the max roll now. Very useful.

Power Doop is kinda defacto best runeword for nearly all heroes now, even if they don't use all 3 damage types--even if they only use one...because of that brutal damage. Annoying thing about Power Doop is that it has variable rolls on craft. So, like with costume affixes, it can get very expensive, especially because you need those doop runes each time.

Jocasta also sells some nice gear like the jacket slot 2 unique and the damage box artifacts (forget what they are called, but there are 3 based on each damage type. Gives flat damage type rating and, I think, % crit damage or crit rating).

Her stuff rerolls too, so you will want to grind those before buying one.

Vendor rolls have a timed reset, so you get 3 until their meter is fully used before you can start rolling again. It used to reset quickly, but now I think it is about 24 hours for 3 rolls on each vendor.

Got a hero I wanted from the free one, the one who goes through walls.

What should I do with uniques?

Some seem not as good as same-level cosmics (no +power global bonus while the comic have +1), some are for heroes I haven't played.

I have six stashes and 5 are about full of stuff - need to determine more of what to get rid of. Rowas of costume shards, runes, pink named items, uniques, uru...

The any-hero uniques used to be pretty good, but the majority of those that drop are trash with the new system (villains in terminals and patrol zones drop specific any-hero uniques that are still very good for most heroes--like Batroc boots or Skull's jacket or Madame Hydra's vest)

Best way to get rid of what you don't want is to exchange them with your crafter--need to have him leveled. But they have to be duplicates.

Costume cores have only a few stats that are useful/valuable: +Fighting is always good, but still not the absolute best.

Best Costume core is a "Trifecta": 25%/100 Health& Spirit on Medkit, Invuln on medkit, 400 health on hit. (the health on hit is variable--by level. only max is worth anything)

That is really the only type of health core that can be traded. People may want a "Fightfecta" which is +1 Fighting and 2 of those others; Invulnerable on medkit is considered the most desirable of those stats.

As for costume affixes from your crafter: you only want Crit damage on each of 4 affixes. It gets expensive, but it's the only affix worth anything (attack speed is OK at lower levels, but uniques and Omegas get you into diminishing returns pretty quickly). each crit damage range is also variable, so if you are crazy about min/max then you will want those rolls in the top ~95% each. But I'd only worry about that when you have accumulated a pile of cash.

There are several like x-man uniform and Skrull this-or-that that show up in many of the top hero builds, so a few are best-in-set.

Starting at 16? there is an exchange of 3 matching (same name, any item level) uniques for a large credit chest. Then at 18? a recipe for 4 matching for much more, then at 20 it's 5 uniques for a 500,000 credit chest. Save them for that.

I usually keep what I think looks the best of each one (using ALT key to look at rolls helps) and also ones with a "challenge bonus" = +1 to one of your main stats. The others go into a stash until I have enough matching ones to exchange for a chest, or relics (4 matching = 50 relic stack).

There are recipes to level up uniques, so don't think that a level 27 is worthless for endgame.

---

For artifacts, I keep one or two of any that has a visual effect I might use like size increase to make Thing, Hulk, Colossus or Juggernaut look a little more imposing.

I keep multiples of ones that show up in many hero builds like Sinister's Jewel and Skrull anything.

Others, I read the stats. If it looks weak, like many of the "power" artifacts and most of them with a level requirement lower than 40, I keep the best one and vendor the duplicates.

This might help, but take it with a grain of salt. A "useless" artifact could still be useful as a place-holder until you get something better:

http://jm.shost.ca/useful-artifacts/

---

Costume cores: you can donate all of the under-level-60 ones that you don't use.

For level 60, remember that different heroes need different types -- cap = vibranium, mutants = x-gene, etc.

The 2 best stats are 2 sec invulnerability on medkit and 25% health on medkit.

Don't bother saving many of the "plain" cores since the cores from the boxes include the +1,000 defense. I only save 1 or 2 per type of the non +1,000 cores.

In the little time I played yesterday and reconfiguring some skills on a couple characters after changes, got 5 levels on one char. Problem I had was that this character had never done story mode so I had to keep rerolling. Read that if you do all quest in all difficulties on one char it unlocks all waypoints for all others, anyone do this and have long does it take for the other two play throughs?

There aren't difficulties any more. The devs consolidated the pointless easy/normal/hard modes of story into a single story mode, so it better scales to character levels as you progress and is really much, much faster for leveling than it once was--I think it is much faster than just running legendary quests, if you hit the specific story quests (like all of those with skill points and xp/rif pots or whatever).

And yes, once you unlock a waypoint in story mode it unlocks for your entire account and instead of having to do each one 3 times on the 3 difficulties (to get all 3 skill points on each of those 4 quests), you just do it once now on a character and you get 3 skill points.

It's incredibly fast. With enough of an account boost (several lvl 60 toons) and some xp pots, you can level most characters in half a day. I would weave in legendaries with dailies and the efficient story quests to do that
