Looks good, but I am kind of fearing the 1 button specials they talked about. Also, it looks like the pace is a bit lower than in MvC2, but those could all be slower characters.

holy sit, im not a big fan of mvc2 in general but i do like watching it, but now that my love for fighters is back i will be getting into mvc3 for sure.

have they shown any gameplay vids of the new mk game yet?

I am hoping for a huge character list. MvC2 had I think 55 characters. With the advancement in disc technology, this one should have as many as they can afford license. I really want Jill to be in this one, as she is one of my favorite characters in 2, but I don't see that happening with Chris confirmed.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they were both in...AND Sheva...AND Wesker. Jill was a well received character in 2 though, I can't believe they'd cut her out for Chris.

Well, I sure hope they don't cut Jill. I know the developers of the Marvel vs Series are very stubborn. They insisted on having a Samurai Shodown character in the vs SNK games and wouldn't hear otherwise.

There were two SamSho characters in CvS2, Haohmaru and Nakoruru. Both were pretty popular and the rage gauge was used by a lot of people. You're the first and only person I've ever heard complain about it...

In my opinion crossover games can never have too many characters, it's impossible to make everyone equal tier, so it doesn't hurt any. There will be people who always pick top tier characters, and purists that play their favorites, so I say go crazy with the roster.

I wasn't complaining about it at all. IIRC the publishers didn't want Haohmaru and Nakoruru in Capcom vs SNK,but it was insisted they make it.
