Guilty as charged.

Question, I only have one ME1 profile so far, can I import it three separate times to three different save games to take different paths in ME2?

Yes, you can. At least on the X360. I did that to my soldier (hell, in the other import I changed him to a Sentinel). The only "issue" is that you can't change your name and in careers you will have the same <name> Shepards, different classes though (should you choose to change it) and different dates, obviously.

As for Miranda...
she's made mostly from genes of her father and doesn't have a biological mother... just sayin'... Though she was engineered to be a perfect woman, biologically

Just to be safe...

Kind of weird if you're the dad constructing your daughter. Healthy, smart, etc. is one thing, but perfect boobs and ass?

Dang, now I'm going to have to get this game. The problem is in ME1 I was a female... if I import that character can I still have fun with Miranda?

I need to know this too.

No, you can't.

The only romance-able characters for a female Shepard are:
Jacob, Garrus and Thane.

Also (big spoiler)
if you flatter Yeoman Kelly Chambers, invite her for dinner and talk nicely each time, if you manage to save the whole crew at the end, after you finish the game you can invite her to your quarters and she will sit on your couch and then you can either have her sit on your laps, you can cuddle in bed or she can dance for you - all in a very tight outfit

It's a two way spoiler edit, so you can still see who's romance-able and not see the big spoiler

Well, that is freaking lame as hell.

Dammit.

And I am not looking at those spoilers!

I guess I'll be playing ME2 twice then. Someday. One on a completist run and once on more of a booty call type run...

I mean, really, dammit. That's aggravating. I didn't want to to be staring at some dude for the entire game and in ME that didn't really affect the romance choices *that much*

I think the female voice actress did a better job than the dude. My male run through involves the TV and a muted computer.

Ha. I see. I haven't tried the dude at all, but yeah, the female Shepard seems to have done at least a legitimate job of voice acting. It has been noticeably better than other games I have played.

Well, I don't mind my Shepard. He has the "full helm" from Dr. Pepper promo for +5&#37; weapon damage and I also use +5% power damage shoulders and 10% faster shield regeneration chest and he looks like he's wearing a power armor from Fallout I got him in nice dark blue with a light-blue finish (looks very high-tech imo). When I power up my tech shield he looks even better Each time he ducks for cover or moves away from it or pops a few rounds from cover or just a power... it always looks badass

I did finish the game as a female Shepard too (renegade adept). Honestly, I prefer it when I'm running with male Shepard. He's in full body armor anyway. And can get down and dirty with Miranda

I think you may be mistaken.

So I've been living under a rock and have never played ME. Is it *really* important that I play the original first before ME2 (storyline, etc)? And I suppose they are available on Steam?

Oh and this should be no brainer considering where I'm posting this, but it plays better on PC compared to the Xbox 360, right?

I highly, highly recommend playing ME1 first. Not only is it a great game, the second game has tons of funny references to the first that you won't appreciate otherwise. Also, the continuity between games is amazing if you import a save from the first game. I'm constantly amazed at the level of detail they put into that - it's not just the major choices that affect things in the second game.
