Mass Effect 3 to get a proper ending via free DLC

Do you guys think that if someone hasn't played this yet, they should wait until this DLC is released to play the game? I've played ME1 and 2 and really enjoyed both. I bought the game on a special off Amazon a few days ago so I own it. I'm not in a rush to play it as I have other things to play in the mean time.

We can't tell you if you should wait - we don't know what the DLC will fix, and there is a lot of fixing needed. Maybe they'll somehow manage to make the ending into something other than an atrocity......but, that's a pretty big maybe in the same sense that Olympus Mons is a pretty big mountain.

The vast majority of ME3 is very good, it's just the last 15 minutes or so that make up the sucky ending. No reason not to go ahead and play it, just hold onto one of your late game save files so you can reload and see whatever the DLC adds.

That edit was great. With that in mind they could have done something quick and satisfying with great music like this, rolled credits, then added a little bit at the end to add closure for your companions and relationships. So simple and it would have worked.

Bioware either just played everyone and actually the ME3 is the best sci-fy story ever told (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ythY_GkEBck) or it really is just that bad.

For those unfamiliar with the indoctrination theory, check out the above video. There is a decent amount of supporting evidence. However, I still think that the theory is wrong and Bioware just blew it, however I want to believe the above theory is right.

When Bioware was shilling out ME3 with marketing hype such as "personalized endings", I thought it would be an improved version of Fallout 2/3 multiple endings that changes according to your choices. I would have been quite satisfied with that.
Instead we get this turd :-(

If indoctrination theory is true then IMO it's even worse, because it means that Bioware didn't make a crappy ending, they made no ending at all.

Yup. Even if the Indoctrination theory is right then when Shepard takes a breath then there should be another hour of gameplay and ending stories!

It really feels like some outside evil entity took control of that last part of the game and just royally screwed it up. I think it was a timeline or DLC issue from EA that destroyed the end of an epic and amazing story and journey. :'(

nonsense. In 4 years we would get ME4, 5, 6 and 7 along with 10 DLCs each. You can't wait 4 years for a proper game!

That could have been absolutely EPIC. You can even keep everything as it is now, since the god child and some of the other screwier stuff is part of the indoctrination hallucination(?).

Choose control and you get the blue ending exactly as it is now, game over. You're totally indoctrinated and blissfully unaware of anything other than the happy thoughts being fed to you.

Choose synthesis and you get the green ending, but at the end there's a shot of Shepard in the rubble, then you get a cinematic of the Reapers decimating the fleet and Hammer, so you know your mistake.

Choose destroy and the red ending starts... but goes blurry and fades as Shepard wakes up in the rubble. THEN you can go on to activate the real Crucible and destroy the Reapers, etc. 20-30 min more gameplay plus a chance to follow up with your crew at the end.

Epic... fucking epic... if only... :\
