While I understand the underlying reasoning for the lack of a humanity first/screw the aliens/evil option it does feel like it is missing. To me that was the real difference in ME1 in that you could either fully support the council or hose everyone else so the humans got theirs. I guess they figure that since everyone that went on this voyage was fully supportive of a multi-species coalition that viewpoint is simply missing. I would really like a "we are here to help/the humans are bailing you out again obey us" split in the responses.

Some of the SJW stuff is a bit overbearing like the rodent problem on the ship. The only option is to build a "humane trap" and then coo over how cute it is, why not also have the option to just kill the little bastard and end the quest right there? Maybe give it to Drack as a gift snack.

In the end I think this will really dampen the replay value as I am locked into the light side with no option to do otherwise. DA:I was missing the option to say screw it I have the crusade behind me time to unite the kingdoms type scenario too.

I like this game a lot. The only thing I can agree with some of you over is I wish Ryder could be an a-hole sometimes through dialogue. Ryder is way too nice.

Other than that...game rocks. I dig it. I'm having a great time.

being a cold douche was arguably my favorite part of playing the last few games... shepherd's face also looked great by the time my renegade level was maxed out lol

Cracking near 10GB system RAM, less Win 10 that is around 8GB just for Andromeda, with 4GB of vRAM:

After around 5 hours of gameplay. After 5 years though I was expecting more. A single new race and a cluster that is pretty empty is disappointing especially combined with the so so writing and animation. Still for $50 its passable.

Surprised you use so much RAM for the game. It uses maybe 6GB of system and the video card uses 5GB.

More than that. You have 8GB of system RAM only you will get hitching and stutters. 8GB of RAM died for gaming when games cracked 50GB.

And as of tonight I am getting the MP CTD problem. 7 out of 9 games have CTD before the end. I had no problems until today.

Try reducing the shadow quality settings, I changed mine for MP and it made it a lot more stable for MP.

MSI Afterburner reports the total system usage, that not only includes the OS, but the RAM allocated for assets like textures as well. I don't know how much the exe uses, but it's probably around 5GB or so if I had to guess.

I'm glad I upgraded to 16GB ram and 8GB RX480 before I purchased MEA, one thing that always happens is ram and video usage is always going up.

I have a 4GB RX480 and I have not seen it go over ~3GB of usage (at 1080P). But system ram, definately need over 8GB.

lol the original Mass Effect ran great on 512MB... nine years ago but am I the only one who thinks that the graphics, by comparison, aren't really that much nicer?

fun fact: i still have the VisionTek 4870 ME-themed box

Graphics in general haven't jumped much in that time. Wasn't ME 1 PC first, then ported to console, while the rest were console ported to PC?

1 was PC first, then a horrible port to XBox 360 (terrible looking textures). And was ported to PS3. But 2 and 3 were both co-developed, neither was a port to the other. The PC and Console versions were developed at the same time. Same goes for ME:A.

I feel like the changes from ME2 to ME3 to ME:A have been slight.

Just looked it up, you are right. It was 360 first. Game still looked terrible next to the PC version. PS3 came way later in 2012.

I like the inventory size increase in patch, also some quests now have way points on the planets, however still a few that are blank so you have to do it the hard way, I'm sure they will patch those eventually.
