I've seen a lot of the latest footage videos coming from the early access previews, and also including the official trailers... and I just cannot get over how utterly horrendous the facial animations are for the humans specifically. It doesn't seem to be too bad for the aliens though (Krogran and Turian seem 'ok'). I don't know who they've hired to do their human facial animations but I remember reading in a preview article that supposedly they had a lot of motion-capture going on for the facial animations, and that very little was done manually (except for aliens of course). Well, I cannot for the life of me actually believe that there's any motion capture because if that's the case than the real person behind the capture that day was NOT feeling good, at all.
Anyway, I am still happy, however, because I've also watched the latest videos showing the multiplayer and it's essentially ME3's MP. And because of that alone it's a Day One purchase for me. I've put about 1100 hours or so in ME3's MP and I can definitely see myself doing the exact same or even more with Andromeda's. So, ultimately, even if Andromeda's campaign somehow manages to be just as bad if not even worse than ME3's then at least I'll have its multiplayer mode to enjoy. And, really, I only had to look at about five minutes of the multiplayer footage and couldn't get rid of my ear-to-ear grin; it was an automatic "Yep, I'm in, just shut up a take my money" moment.
I think I may just be realizing right now that I really don't give a rat's ass about any more (or less) Mass Effect single-player campaigns. They could announce next year that the franchise won't go single-player ever again and just focus on multiplayer and I wouldn't feel bad about it.
