The animations are always going to be awkward no matter what, there's no getting around that issue. But as far as outright glitches are concerned, that's a different matter. Reading NeoGaf, it definitely seems that it's mostly people with 8GB of RAM that are having the most problems, and not just with animations, but with performance loss and crashes as well.

I am on 32 G's and not having a single issue.. for what thats worth.
Anyway, getting deeper into the game, yes, the characters are still semi retarded animation wise but the story checks out.... And its an actual good story.
Glad I bought it. Enjoying it.

I'm finding more bugs as I go along, just had the famous black screen issue, DA-I was more polished then this game and that is saying something.

I don't even have to beta bug test to find obvious bugs, I do hope next patch is out soon.

I agree on those points though I would like to add that the story so far is way better and more engaging than what was DAI.. so there is that.
Another topic, I started out with 'standard ryder' cause I didnt wat any 'special algos' to ruin my face.. And I have to say I am not loving this beard.. or wtf its supposed to be, looks like out of lesson pubic hairs in my face.. and i cant change it.. arrrghh,,,

edit: conversations with npc's is at least 10 years old.. seems like EA didnt skip on the story but used 360 era tools to tell it.. Another game I liked and replayed was Saints Row 4 .. anims look alot like this.

That makes sense. I've only had the odd facial animations (dead eyes) but no actual bugs. The only other issue with a conflict between Corsair CUE and the game, but that was patched.

I put a lot of hours into this over the weekend and once the game allowed me to go off on my own things just got better and better. Other than the start of the game I have not experienced any crazy facial animations since. I'm sure there is one out there waiting for the right moment but nothing strange has happened at all. I'm starting to think all those weird issues were locked into the start of the game or something. I haven't had a single performance issue either. 4K Ultra w/HDR and the game runs very smoothly. The story is good and though the dialog is hit or miss I am not being pulled out of the game by it at all. I'm very pleased with it so far.

I had a lockup just now, had to hard reboot, you know when you flying around from planet to planet in the animation, first one ever, not surprised to me honest, as I stated not hard to find bugs without even trying to beta test this game. I have 16GB of ram and game itself is smooth enough so no issues with performance, mainly just bugs.

I haven't had a lock up or crash yet, however after a couple hours of playing, the conversation menu starts to go off on its own, making choices for me. I restart the game and everything is fine again. Not sure why this happens. Also I had one time where the battle/enemy-nearby music would not stop playing. I restarted the game and everything was fine.

When I first started the game, my original character looked fine in the character creation screen, but in gameplay, it didn't look right. Started over and my character looks much better in game. I will post a screenshot when I get home. I guess a tip in character creation is to move the chin and the mouth further down than what you think it should be in character creation.

Edit: My Character

The CC has the same issues as the one in DA:I in that you look different in normal lighting and with movement. It would be nice if they put you in a normal scene and have a button for some standard conversational movement. That way you would get a better representation of your face in the majority of the game and not just what you would look like standing idle in a cave.

More bugs, on Elaaden planet and I'm being attacked by local wildlife at a remnant site, well wave after wave they keep coming, not ending, run out of ammo , after 10th wave yes 10th wave and I wiped each wave out 100%, I gave up and reloaded, the bug was stupid, also MEA forgets to remember my three favourite biotic skills, so keep having to put the third one in, also this game feels like a platform game too much with all that jumping around especially on those stupid columns.

I got stuck inside a circle of columns twice, could not get out (can't jump high enough to get out), had to do an earlier reload, so many faults with this game I don't know where to start.

Some fight areas no ammo boxes where you also can't save and have to do a lot of fighting so basically you have to back track to a different area to get ammo. Biotics not an option with long cool downs, especially where there a lot of tough mobs.
MEA could of been a great game but they ruined it IMHO, annoying game to say the least, I just want to finish the story now and forget about this game.

Man I had to lower the difficulty to normal. As a vanguard I get blown up so quick even though I'm supposed to be the one charging in.

Yep it can be tough, amazing how fast you get through ammo as well, ironically you can always jump, jump and jump unless scanning(platform game or what lol), but shooting well unless you next to an ammo point out of luck pretty fast.

I'm playing on Hardcore and refuse to lower the difficulty, I reloaded the first Fiend fight I think a dozen times or more before finally conceding that I needed to go back to an outpost and change my weaponry so that I had less weapon carry weight (for faster cooldowns). Shockingly, or perhaps not so shockingly, when I went from -35% penalty on cooldowns down to 0% penalty (while changing nothing else), that whole fiend fight on hardchore became a cakewalk that I beat on the first attempt without even breaking a sweat. So I can say I'm quite pleased with the difficulty thus far, and I'm not even playing on the highest setting.

I did the saving the pilot one in the desert, they are supposed to stay until picked up(SAM relays a message so they get picked up by a shuttle), however they start following your nomad in the desert, wtf lol, another bug.

While it's just a game and holding it to realistic limitations is silly, it's still a little weird that we're zipping around the Andromeda galaxy despite the complete lack of any Mass Effect relays. They named the damn series after these things and they don't exist at least as far as I've seen in Andromeda and yet that hasn't posed any sort of barrier to interstellar travel whatsoever. An odd choice...

I hated having to worry about ammo in ME. I get conserving ammo in an fps, but a third person "role playing action game" that's supposed to focus on the story should not do that IMHO. It's one of the reasons why ME1 is still my favorite game in the series.

ME1's definitely the best in the series, ME2 was badass for different reasons but Andromeda is sadly last despite the best combat, stunning visuals at 4K with HDR, and an open world to play around in. Somehow they have come up with a dull story, absolutely insipid writing, and painful side quests that are time fillers and little more. I mean, it's not even better than ME3... that game at least had some great moments and great music.

Bioware's in trouble, they must have spent a boatload of cash making this game and it's a 7/10 at best. I think that's being generous, the biggest investment in a game for me isn't the $60 but rather than 30+ hours you could have spent doing something else. I kiss $60 away after three hours at a bar... but 30 hours is a legit investment of your energy and Andromeda is dangerously close to that walking that line of simply not being worth it.

This game is set in the Heleus Cluster, not the entire galaxy, and FTL has always been a thing in the Mass Effect series. It all checks out.

Well guys you won't believe this but found another bug,
Fighting the Remnant Architect boss shooting the legs, the health is at 0% but it never goes to next stage ie head so it is like stuck in a loop, only way you can complete it is to reload an earlier save and refight, also hope it does not bug out, only happened once so far, but a pretty serious bug since you can't complete it if it bugs out, it is like you are firing blanks at a leg with 0% health.
.

Going to reload and try again.

Posting this again for the morning crew.

Ok so I love the Dhan Shotgun so much I made a video about how to craft the blueprint, how to easily find Vanadium (very rare mineral). It's a lot of fun, so check it out if you're interested.

Oh, and this is a must have if you are playing a Vanguard.

Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump... I think there is more jumping than shooting.

Finally got around to playing again last night. First time since the trial. I was at times getting framerates in the 30's and 40's. Anyone else getting poor performance at times? I have the game set to ultra.

I'm really enjoying the game Playing as a vanguard on normal difficulty. Taking it slow. Game runs OK on my ancient rig with Medium settings (with a few High here and there). I don't really pay attention to the weird eye movement and face animations to be honest. I did encounter a few bugs (world buttons not working, getting stuck in a room on the Tempest, game locking during loading times) - but only a few times in the past 20h or so I've already spent on the game and a simple reload fixed it (the game is very generous with autosaves).

I love the game. I really dig the story. I haven't hit any bugs that I have noticed. Nothing that has stopped gameplay. Game runs smoothly but at 30-44 fps. Normally this would bother me but the game runs smooth, looks fantastic and I never experience any stuttering or slow down. I'm playing on Ultra settings 4k and HDR.
