If we REALLY wanted to go down that road then we should be only using the launch drivers plus bug fixes for games and not all of these game ready drivers that change how several things are handled. Bring it all back to exactly how the devs wrote the code. But that wouldn't be fair to Nvidia would it? Those game ready drivers are great aren't they.

A handful of pro one sided posters have turned a thread about a game into accusations that AMD isn't DX11/12 compliant and they engage in outright cheating. Bravo!

Honestly, who the actual F cares?
I cannot believe what is being argued here. It would sorta be great if any of you put this much effort into things that actually mattered instead of how many fps better is my favorite graphics card with or without tesselation and argue... yes actually argue about this. wake up folks. step back and look at yourselves like a 3rd person shooter and reconcile exactly what the level of importance is that youre arguing over. If I get through to only 1 of you, any mod whippings will be worth it.
People please.

I don't know why you're bringing the mods into this.

Yep. Pretty much. Same posting habits by the same people over and over again. Can't have a nice technical discussion of a game and its engine without it devolving into people trying to discredit people/companies/posts/games/etc.

Best water reflections. Other settings look broken.

I'm 99% sure the changes there are just weather related as the shadows have moved. Because with tessellation off (last picture) the water goes back to looking like the 6+ versions. There is also visible cloud that moved from farther away on the circle rock right above the settlement to covering / under it in the 4/2x versions, so I think its just the cloud covering the water.

Yeah the lighting, texturing, shadowing, etc. is all top notch stuff. Though I do wish they had included support for DirectX 12. Even if they had plans to add it at a later date, I'd bet that's been put on the backburner so they can look into fixing the facial animations...

The game isn't that demanding on the CPU, so DX12 won't gain much. Where as something like BF1 is SUPER demanding, so it stands to gain the most. My 4690K sits at 40-50% CPU utilization in ME:A. Where as it averages 90% in BF1.

Where? Can you please post a link? Thx in advance

Hi everyone,

It’s been two weeks since the launch of Mass Effect™: Andromeda and we’re thankful to the millions of you who have already joined us on this journey. And though the game is now in your hands, it’s really just the beginning.

Since launch, our team has been poring over your comments and feedback, looking to discover what you like about the game, as well as areas we can evolve or improve.

This Thursday, we’ll release a new patch that addresses technical fixes (crashes, improved performance), but also adds a number of improvements we’ve heard you ask for, such as:

  • Allowing you to skip ahead when travelling between planets in the galaxy map
  • Increasing the inventory limits
  • Improving the appearance of eyes for humans and asari characters
  • Decreasing the cost of Remnant decryption keys and making them more accessible at merchants
  • Improving localized voice over lip sync
  • Fixing Ryder’s movements when running in a zig zag pattern
  • Improving matchmaking and latency in multiplayer
There are many more adjustments being made, all of which you can find in our patch notes.

Over the next two months we’ll be rolling out additional patches which will go even deeper and look to improve several areas of the game:

  • More options and variety in the character creator
  • Improvements to hair and general appearance for characters
  • Ongoing improvements to cinematic scenes and animations
  • Improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder
  • Adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams
These upcoming patches will also address performance and stability issues. And we’re looking at adding more cosmetic items to single player for free.

For multiplayer, over the same timeframe, we’re going to continue to build on the APEX missions that have been running since launch. We’ll be adding new maps, characters, and weapons. On Thursday, we kick off the first of three new chapters centered around The Remnant Investigation.

This is just a taste of what’s in store as we continue to support Mass Effect: Andromeda. And as always, you all play an important role in that. We want to hear from you about your experiences, both what you love about the game and what you’d like to see changed. We’re listening, and we’re committed to partnering with you as we continue to explore the Andromeda galaxy together.

Here’s to a great journey,

Aaryn

Sounds like it will be a very nice patch! I've been enjoying the multiplayer a lot, the gameplay and combat feels very good (though melee is kinda funky.. would love BF style melee )
