Aurora, Colorado cinema shooting, or in other words, a grand opportunity for Obama to get his mug on camera to let America know how this touches him and how he's going to hug his girls just a little harder...again.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Friday that the shootings that took place in an Aurora, Colo. movie theater hours earlier were a result of "ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs" and questioned why nobody else in the theater had a gun to take down the shooter.

During a radio interview on The Heritage Foundation's "Istook Live!" show, Gohmert was asked why he believes such senseless acts of violence take place. Gohmert responded by talking about the weakening of Christian values in the country.

"You know what really gets me, as a Christian, is to see the ongoing attacks on Judeo-Christian beliefs, and then some senseless crazy act of terror like this takes place," Gohmert said.

Where's your outrage now? Oh right, he's a republican so, YAY GOP!

Someone in the theater could have had a gun, but no one did. The state has made it easily available as an option, but this still happened.

Gun permissiveness is not a panacea for gun violence.

Who said it was? I merely pointed out that removing guns from law abiding citizens is only going to hurt the good people in this country, because it is JUST AS EASY to get a gun illegally as it is to get a bag of weed....which is SUPER easy.

Also, this guy had on a bullet proof vest and who wants to conceal at a movie anyways? That would get uncomfortable pretty fast.

71 shot, 12 dead, hundreds of 911 calls began to come in at 12:39am. Holmes set off 2 devices (probably tear gas or something similar) to begin the attack. He did not resist arrest, they are confident he acted alone, during the shooting in theater 9 some rounds went into adjacent theaters. He was wearing full body armor including a throat and a groin protector, ballistic leggings, helmet, etc. and a gas mask.

Apparently his apartment IS booby trapped with various incendeary and chemical devices with trip wires.
