Not to mention in Vegas at night. There would have certainly been more injuries and likely more deaths if the crowd was armed and thought they could take the guy out.

I'm now starting to think the same thing. If anyone read the dossier from that Wiki page I linked to, his father was a bank robber and suffered some sort of schizophrenia. So maybe his son has some mental health issue as well. Perhaps no one realized it.

That's all I can come up with. Very strange. It's like the guy just flipped out. Be curios to see what the toxicology report says. I just know it's more than likely gonna be weeks before we get a definitive answer.

Looks premeditated to me. It would be hard to gather that much firepower that quickly after a bad run of gambling. It all seems like circumstantial evidence right now but he did check in a day ahead of the concert, at a hotel that is almost directly across from the concert. He got a room high enough to get a good angle and one that faced that direction. He brought enough firepower to arm an army squad.

Why he waited until the last day and almost the end of the concert to start shooting remains to be seen. Also, what did he do all those 4 days where he was there?

Why attack all these innocent people having a good time...why not just kill yourself or go take out some politicians or something. I watched the video and I was sickened. I can't even imagine being in a situation like this. :**(

No, ABC news just said that his brother has told the police that he was a multi-millionaire. He made his $$ from real estate and on the stock market, he owned his own plane and was a licensed pilot. None of this makes sense.
EDIT: he was also apparently a "high roller" at Vegas casino's and was an expert gambler. Police have found additional weapons at his home, like 18 more different rifles and pistols. The automatic rounds were of the "Talon" type, nasty, nasty stuff.
