Massive Fight Scenes in HL2

Over on steampowered there were screenshots where people spawned dozens of soldiers on one side and dozens of resistance and or zombies on the other side, and then sat back watching them fight it out. I would love to know what the commands are to do this. I posted over there, but now the forums are down at steampowered, so if anyone here knows, that would be great.

What they probably did was use the:

Super Zero gravity gun. If you use it early on in the game, and pull NPCs, it clones them. So, if they grabbed a bunch of one NPC...you could create an army.

Yea, I have the cheat codes, although I can't figure out how to get the better gravity gun in the beginning of the game. I go to a later map, get the gun, and then go back to an early map, but I lose any guns I had. Am I doing something wrong? I did map d3_citadel_03

This is the level where you lose your weapons and get the super gravity gun in the normal game, so I have the super gravity gun

it loads, and I just have a crowbar. What am I doing wrong?

As far as the fight scene goes. Does "cloning" someone give them a gun and everything? How would I clone a bunch of people and not have them start fighting till I was done cloning everyone?

ON steampowered forums I specifially remember someone having two commands. One to spawn an NPC, and another to give all spawned NPCs weapons.

Well, for all you non believers out there, I finally got my awnswer on the other forums. Here is how

Turn on cheats: sv_cheats 1
Pick a weapon for your spawned characters: npc_create_weapon weapon_smg1 (for example. It has to be a weapon the npc uses in the game)
Then spawn your npc: npc_create npc_combine_s
And viola, you got a combine soldier where you are looking on screen. Repeat many times over to get your army of combine.
You can also create npc_zombie for zombies. Make a bunch of them, and you can watch the combine slaughter the zombies. It is also handy to use notarget, so the combine don't try to kill you first.
Now my question, and I will ask it there is, how do you spawn a resistance member. It would be much more interesting if the other side had guns

Oh, I also found it works much better if you noclip and are looking down at the ground when you are spawning.
