Happens all the time on here though. Anyone not 100% down the line D is far right. When in reality being against restrictions on freedom of speech is a moderate, entirely rational and broadly held view.

Maybe for some but I have stated many times that there is a difference between, a righty, a Republican, a conservative, and a gun nutter.

Yes, we're going to quibble over the fucking details. We're talking about the further reduction of a Constitutional right affecting millions of law abiding citizens. Get ready with the details.

The details are down to the law makers. Once you agree to the concept of restricting access to guns, the details can be thrashed out afterwards.

I find it a bit odd that you're trying to make yourself out to be the victim here.

We already have the concept of restricting guns, felons can’t buy them. The details do matter due to the slippery slope as evidenced in the video posted right above yours. If you can’t hash the details out you’ll never get anything passed, it’s as simple as that really.

The details matter when it comes to actually implementing things into law, yes.

It's not necessary and not reasonable to expect everyone in the 'AG lobby' to know the technical details of guns and everything that surrounds them.

Which is why they pass idiot laws with multiple loopholes.

I’m sure most of them can’t repair a car either, but that never stopped them from enacting safety regulations for them.

I guess we'll have to pass some laws before we can, you know, actually read them.

Safety regulation was generally lobbied for by someone in some form or fashion that had a knowledge of cars and how in what aspects they were unsafe.

Yes, it would be assumed that someone lobbying for something knew what they were talking about.

Problem is republicans have blocked the study of anything related to guns, there’s no accurate info on purpose.

What is there to know about, exactly?

Access to guns is very much at the heart of the problem of gun violence. You don't need to know much more beyond that in order to be part of the movement to restrict access to guns.

All the conservatives complaining about protesting kids, oh the horror. Just admit it the right sucks at rallys. In fact they suck at everything except running up the debt.

But sadly I think you all are suffering from rally size envy, RSE.

Mother of all rallies 1k

Women's march 500,000
March for Science 200,000
Kids against chetos march 800,00

There is plenty to know about, especially since like mentioned earlier we are dealing with restricting a constitutional right.

There is plenty for the lawmakers to know about, yes.

The general public who want to have access to guns restricted, not really.

I'm somewhat in awe at the attendance for this. I was concerned they would try and build hype and it would fizzle. Also interesting tidbit, I was checking some webcams around DC (Washington memorial mall, capital, ect) and the web cams yesterday weren't showing anything remotely close to the crowds posted in some of the pictures here. I was somewhat shocked to check this thread and some news sites today to see the posted images from yesterday.

Not saying the webcams were falsified, but it was very odd to see very little activity on them between 11am and 1pm yesterday.

Trump had them all shut down just like during the MOAR. There was no wash monument pic of the crowds then

Santorum (hence the font color) said on CNN that kids should learn CPR instead of complaining about guns.
https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/25/politics/rick-santorum-guns-cnntv/index.html
What an idiot. CPR will keep someone who's shot in the chest or brain alive right and will prevent them from being permanently disabled? Ok. Oh an it's perfectly safe to do CPR when someone is walking around raining bullets on anything that moves.

It's like saying mother's against drunk driving should stop asking for drunk driving laws and should instead teach their kids cpr.
