I have hundreds of old games I haven't played yet, and I keep re-buying them on Steam because they're so cheap with the reason 'maybe the old CD's wouldn't work now'.

LOL, I was just checking my collection for Railroad Tycoon II (I know I have it), but said "the hell will it, I'll just buy it again, it's only $2" :awe:

Second Encounter just by itself has been $20 for awhile, except during pre-order when it was $17 something. $7.50 for both First and Second encounter is hard to beat.

I know, I got both when they were 10% off for preorder. If I had only waited....Oh well, SS is worth any price.

Sure. Cheaper than when I bought it yesterday for $6.79.
No problem running in Win7 (i7-860). Load time is a little bit long (15 - 30 sec), but I have fun playing it.

Buy it. Very fun online. I don't care for the campaign but lots of people seem to like it, especially the expansion's campaign.

Bioshock 2 is back up to $23. I guess I'll have to wait for it to go back on sale. I've got a big enough backlog of games as it is, but at $15 I would have surely bit.

No real problems but you have to have more patience that would would with TF2. I thought I read somewhere they'll have dedicated servers running soon. Once again for $5.00 its a decent time.

So, can I sell the CD version of Supreme Commander 2 I got from Fry's earlier this month (for $20 or $25, days before it went on Steam at $10.99, now at $7.47), that I installed - which registered it with Steam - but haven't even played yet, and buy the $7.47 Steam deal? Or now that it's been registered at Steam, is the CD version useless for resale?

Probably not worth the hassle - don't think I've ever resold a game anyway - but curious anyway.

Also, I'm not crazy about City of Heroes, but I had a couple chars there years ago - the 'architect edition' is $9.99 today.

Is that a free download for people who own the old game, or do you have to buy it?

Just got Left 4 Dead 2 (~$10), Assassin's Creed 2 (~$22), The Witcher (~$6) and Far Cry 2 (~$10), 31 gigs to download but the servers are hit really hard and I can only dl like 1 game, still worth it even if I have to wait - its too bad I missed the Resident Evil 5 deal yesterday cause its now up to $33.
