Matrix: help me understand this..

I think CptObvious has got it closest. When Neo turns to fight Agent Smith in the subway, Morpheus comments "He`s starting to believe." The Oracle discussion has to be looked at in total. "You`ve got the gift, but you seem to be waiting for something." My opinion, he`s waiting for a good enough reason to believe in himself, that he is The One. But, AT THE TIME he was talking to the Oracle, he was not The One.
I don`t buy the Trinity HAD to fall in love with him before he could be The One. He just had to believe, like everyone else did.

Part of believing is ceasing to believe a lie. Rebirth is preceded by death. To know truth you first have to die to lies. The ego is not The One.

I don't think he did actually die and get revived by the kiss. I think they just happen to coincide. Anyway, I didn't like the movie that much to actually care...

A move is a movie... my girlfriend is constantly on my case because I can't leave well enough alone in movies.
