Saw it on Tuesday thanx to a friend who works in the theater. I think I drooled all over myself since I can't keep my mouth closed.

When you go don't miss the <STRONG>"The Matrix Revolutions" trailer is after the closing credits

</STRONG>fyi - in real life, the actress Gloria Foster (The Oracle) died shortly after filming completed

Ditto. A decent movie, but a big let down. The story had a million holes in it, the dialogue sucked, wayyyy too many unimportant characters introduced for no reason, the fighting actually slowed down from the first movie...wtf is that about?

Some amazing special effects...especially that chase scene. IMO the third movie has a tough road to hoe.

I think that too many people are letting themselves be dissappointed because they don't understand that this movie was made mearly to set the plot for the third one, which is likely to be the greatest movie for years and years to come. This movie isn't going to close the ends up and leave you feeling warm and happy or there will be no logical path to begin the third without making it seem like a poorly pieced puzzle.

I think saying that the third part will be the best for years and years to come is presumptious.

Beyond that, let me remind you of another trilogy: the second movie not only setup the plot for the third but The Empire Strikes Back is also the favorite in the series amoung fans....

I got in the 1:20 matinee yesterday and it was only half full!
If you can follow the story line and seperate it from all the Cool action going on around it, You will be left wondering at the end did Neo bend the spoon?
There are several different ways the next movie can go.

The Matrix = 5 stars
The Matrix reloaded =5 stars

One : IMAX movies are not shown in Pan and Scan. They may appear that way since they do not fill an entire IMAX screen.

Two : Matrix 3 will not be the best movie in years. That is Return of the King you are thinking of

Three : I didn't get to see the damn movie last night because we had tornados and the power was out throughout half the damn city! ARgh! Going to see it Saturday.

Row.

Row? What are you talking about? My phrasing is colloquial, but accurate.

For a supposed action movie, there is sure a lot of talking in this movie. Even an MIT graduate would have a hard time explaining some of the stuff these guys talk about. The first one was twice the movie this one is.

I agree that Matrix Reloaded was a dud. I loved the first Matrix, it's endlessly in my DVD player to watch when there's nothing good on. But this one was definitely a step down. The special effects are much worse than the first movie. A sign of good computer generated graphics is that you shouldn't be able tell it was computer generated. In Matrix Reloaded, you definitely could tell it was CG. I felt like I was watching cut scenes from a computer game during most of the fancy fight scenes. Also, what's with all the talking. Talk less, fight more. The biggest irritation for me was that useless dance scene that went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. For me, the best scene was the opening scene. It was a down hill slide from there.

Reloaded also didn't meet my expectations, but that's probably because they were so high. It'll still most likely be the best movie of this summer. However, what I love about the Matrix trilogy is that it actually makes you think a little afterwards. I watched it Wednesday and I'm still going on the forums just to read the different interpretations of what the whole matrix is and what it's about. I never did that after the LOTR movies even though I thought the first was excellent and the two towers was good. The Matrix is a movie you can watch over and over again while alot of others aren't.

DOH!!!. i left as soon as the names came up. Was disappointed with this movie... the first one was much more of a thinking movie. This one here was something that couldn't decide if it wanted to have conversations all the way, or must have cg action throughout the movie.

oh, in the burly scene, are some of those moves going to be in the matrix game, cuz you could tell that neo was computer generated... and would look great on a high-end game system.

Kind of off topic....

For those we is going to see the movie don't leave afte the movie finish, becuase there is a trailer for the 3 Matirix that is coming out in Nov. The roll of all the people who worked in the movie is long, but worth the time to wait it is about a 3 min wait for the trailer.
