Matt Damon, Adrien Brody, Gary Sinese to star in Star Trek

Too bad they don't make a new movie that takes place after Voyager after they got all that technology from the future.

That would actually be interesting vs. a prequel where we know none of the main characters are ever in any real danger.

I like star trek, but they need to go forward with the series, not backwards. Enterprise showed that prequels don't work well in a universe like that.
If they were to make a Star Trek movie with the same three actors and made it a new crew and on a totally different ship and maybe have cameos from the other actors it might work better than the steaming pile most people think this movie is going to be.

With the way the casting seems to be going, I foresee Paris Hilton playing Sulu.

Gary Sinise is the only one of those that really makes sense... He's a surly old cuss, just like Bones.

Star Trek 2-4 and to some degree 5 really show what Trek was about and it is about 3 complete opposite people being friends. It's about sacrifice and growing as a person. There will be no suspense in the movie because you know all 3 will live.

Gawd, I hate time travel crap in Star Trek (and SG-1).

Instead of going backwards, I wish they'd go forward as a whole new ST crew. It would open up a lot more opportunities. But since this is a crew we're supposidly familar with maybe they'll go right to the mission. I hate those endless & boring "intro's" like in the first ST movie.

as much as i like Matt Damon as an actor, i'm not sure he can pull-off being Kirk. Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey or Colin Farrell would be a lot more credible.
