Lol i dont even have 9k i n my bank account.We got the Dux 515 around 8 years ago. I love this mattress but we paid like 9K. Worth it IMO.

I think I paid $300 for a queen size ~4 years ago. Best mattress ever. It does get very warm at night...so if you sweat a lot, might not like it.
I like mattresses firm, but not like a board. This one is soft to an ~inch, but it is very solid throughout.
My frame only has 1 crossbar. Do i need to use a boxspring with a memory foam mattress?

other than a fan, I'm not really sure. Hay-stuffed mattress? I know that's how they stuffed them in colonial times during the summer.
But probably a standard inner spring, or I am now seeing these air mattresses. If it has something like an air chamber, or even water, that is probably good heat transfer.
The foam and latex mattresses just absorb all that heat and trap it close to you. Just like neoprene/diving suits.
I only wear boxers to bed.
I called my local costco to see if they had a model at the store. they didn't. I asked about return policy and she said there really is no limit for returns. she had people return mattresses as long as a year or 2 later and they still took them back, lol.

Latex or foam won't allow air movement, look for something with a layer that breathes like bamboo.
I sleep with a ceiling fan on year round. in summer i generally just use a sheet and sometimes nothing and thats with AC running. in winter I am using a sheet and light blanket. I only wear boxers to bed. room is an average 68 degrees. sometimes I sweat profusely.

You really trusting the mattress salesperson? The person who doesn't have what you're looking for but conveniently has two higher priced alternatives?
1) I'm on year 6 with the nova form. no noticeable sagging
2) if it starts sagging after 2 years return it to costco cuz you're unsatisfied with the piss poor performance.

decided to go to a local furniture store. bought some stuff there when i bought my house and they usually have good prices.
Anyway, they didn't have any straight memory foam mattresses but the salesperson told me i probably shouldn't go with memory foam because of my size, especially a cheaper memory foam like the one at costco.
He said the memory foam might last me 2-3 years before it starts sinking, etc.
They had innerspring mattresses with some memory foam tops. He recommended 2 of them. 1 was a little over $700 and the other was a little over $900. The $900 felt much better. Both come with boxsprings, and i can upgrade to steel boxspring for not much more.

As the owner of a latex mattress I can tell you that you are conditionally wrong about the latex mattress part. Talalay latex sleeps much cooler than Dunlop
Depends on the quality of memory foam. Cheap memory foam will sag\sink but that doesn't mean that well build memory foam mattresses will
