I don't think ESPN have their facts straight.

It's not Manning Jr.'s first scrape with the law. In April, 2002, Manning Jr. had been arrested for assault in the same area while enrolled at UCLA and playing for the Bruins. The case was later dismissed, in part, because an alleged victim was reportedly out of the country when the case went to court.

Read his sentence again. He's saying if he's convicted and can avoid getting prison time, it shows how the system is a joke.
