Well its nice to see Nvidia barely getting by on Vram yet again. I have to admit, AMD did it right for the past 2 generations regarding Vram. At least this time around you have a choice to buy a 4gb card from the 600 series. This makes the 690 look totally useless for anything above 1080p in this game. The lack of Vram on the 600 series in standard form is disgusting.
Per the VRAM situation in this game. I think they are way off base.
I could turn everything up, but MSAA to 8x, it limited me to 4x. I manually edited the config file for 8xAA and it runs just fine.
Seems like the estimations in the config options are plain wrong.

"moonbogg" did come off as a Radeon Bigot although his point was vaild about the Vram issue. That being said I don't like to see either Radeon or Nvidia get bashed for I have owned many variants of both parties GPUs over the years and have been equally delighted & dissatisfied by both camps.wow dude WOW. So is FXAA "Blurry" in MP3 ? At any rate there is one Video up on Youtube that had a 6970 playing MP3 on Ultra @ 1200P pulling in 80 - 120fps not bad at all considering the mess that is GTA 4 I considered MP3 would have been similar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0RGNHTBrmIweird gamegpu found crap sli/cf scaling.. that game is not running at the framerate indicated there. you can look at the benchmarks on the previous page plus you can clearly tell the game is running way slower. Of course though it could be that Youtube runs videos at what is it 29fps max but it might be 30fps I am not positive. Obviously the game will run alot more smoothly on a quad core graphical representation do not really show this though.
Hopefully Nvidia works on the scaling for MP2, as my 4 680s only see moderate usage in BF3. Most other games fail to make use of 2 of them, much less 4. And yes, I'm running high res with a 3930K @ 4.7ghz, so thats not it ;x
