i believe it is for one only since you can only apply the coupon once online unless you make separate orders. thats kinda like limiting it to 1 per customer per visit

Not quite correct. The manufacturer gives NOTHING to the store. The store takes nearly a COMPLETE loss on the product. The manager can choose however they want to run the store, however since this is a corporate event, the home office has decided that already. Thats not really a store-level decision.

I bet this was the price Staples paid for them anyways.

I am going to give one to a friend as a gift, should I tell her how cheap they were or let her think I spent $40? She is a baby sitter and this is like a tip because she will not take money from us. I know she could use a few hundred so I may give her a coupon.

I went back and they said this was an online only offer. I had to go to pick up my kids and did not have time to argue. So I did not get one for my baby sitter.

For those being told it is an online only deal, Staples 110% price guarantee specifically states they will pricematch their own website. Buy for $40 - 110% ($38.50) and get them for $1.50.

Worked fine at the Union Deposit store in Harrisburg, PA. New cashier at the counter looked confused, her supe came over, gave me a dirty look asking if I called about this two days prior (which I didn't) and then proceeded to enter the code...grabbed the 4 spindles left on the shelf and she entered the code for each one. Out the door with 400 disks for 21 and change.

Just got back from Staples with 1 100 pack, and going back for a second. The manager gave me no problems at all, though looked kind of surprised at the $35 coupon, LOL.

He did want a separate print out sheet (from the web site) for each pack though. Thus me going back.

No rebates. Yay!

So what stores is everyone buying from?? It would be helpful to know which stores are being emptied by AT.

When I went to the Irvine store I didn't print out the ad but I just wrote down the code. She manager said "I need the coupon clipping in order to you honor you that price, I need to show proof to the manufacture to get that $35 back." I dunno, that's what she said. I guess she doesn't know store policies.

Staples Price-Match Policy

"If you find a lower price in a Staples store, Staples catalog or on our website, www.Staples.com, we will match the lower price. The additional 10% of the price difference does not apply."

I was wrong about getting the extra 10%, but there is no way a manager can deny you the deal.

Just got back from the Hershey PA store...had tons on the shelf. Grabbed 4 more. Took the cashier and the manager forever to figure it out. Didn't really give me any guff, but were discussing amongst themselves if this was vaild in store vs website, etc. Finally decided to give it to me, but the cashier rang up only one. I pointed out there was no limit, she brought back the manager, who took her sweet time again (the cashier started humming the Jeopardy theme). She finally said "fair's fair" and gave me the price on all 4. Still about 8-10 spindles on the shelf when I left.

Sure the manager can deny you the deal. If you look at the webpage it says, "... on-line cart." I guess if you go to pick it up at the B&M, it's not considered an "on-line cart". I was told, "It's an online coupon so we won't accept/match the coupon."

Rats! Out of stock. Not that I need more disks badly, but at a nickel a piece, I could afford to stock up...

Take care,

Brian

It's more of a YMMV. Pointing out that the webpage with the coupon has no limit printed helps. They also kept the printout at each store I went to...put it in the cashier's drawer signed by the manager.

I had two packd and they told me I had to get them seperately to get the deal. Then they told me i needed another coupon. I told them it was on the internet and i could print out 100 of them. They said that is fine. I had another in the car and had to go get it. Other than this issue it was absolutely no problem at all to get them. I should go back tomorrow and get more! Anyone try to burn these at 48X?
