$5 shipped for 20 AA batteries is cetainly a lot better than paying close to the same amount for a 4-pack Energizer at the drug store!

And these are good batteries too if you get the "Made in Japan" ones.

I picked up a few packs in the half a dozen or so times Circuit City had the Maxell 20pk AA batteries for free, 99 cents, or $1.99 after rebates, and noticed the packs were either "Made in China" or "Made in Japan".

Thank you very much for a great lead.

I needed to buy some and this saved me a trip to the store.

I'm in for one of each. Thanks for the deal!

BTW, I still have these same AA's from a Sears deal a year or so ago (40/$10). They seem to last pretty well, and work better in my cheap Kodak digital camera than most name brands.

No offense, but where are you getting the "40" from?
I show both items as being 20 packs.

These are regular non-alkaline batteries. I'd think the alkaline ones are better since they tend to last longer.

You guys should seriously look into some good Nickle Metal Hydride Batterys (NiMH) they can go for about 10 bucks for four AA or 5 bucks for two AAA...get a good charge too and these batteries are worth the price...they last twice as long as Alkalines and you can recharge them anywhere from 500 to 1000 times and still having the same and even better results than the first couple of times used...i highly recommend the MAHA Powerex NiMH and the carger made just for the NiMH MAHA it take a max 3 hours to recharge the batteries and i use them everyday with my digital camera and mp3 player...when the run out of juice i just pop in the second set i have and charge the other ones while wathcing a movie....here is they cheapest place to get the stuff i talked about...will cost maybe 30 bucks but will last you years of never having to by batteries..

4 AA NiMH1700 Batteries and charger $34

2 AAA NiMH700 Batteries $4.60

NiMH are great for many applications BUT they have a fairly short charged shelf life. If you
need batteries for a device you only use occasionally (e.g. a flashlight) or for an
application where you can't risk the batteries suddenly going dead over time, don't use
NiMH. ALSO, the power curve for NiMH batteries is very different from alkalines. When you get
close to the fully drained state of the battery, they will suddenly go dead. Standard alkalines, on the
other hand, drift off into dead-land much more gradually. This is very important for appls like
Palm Pilots where, with NiMH you can go from "batteries are OK" to "lost all memory" in an
instant...No good...

Well put, Kwad!! A lot of people are under the assumption that rechargables = how can i lose?! If only the world were so perfect They just don't work the same. ESPECIALLY in power hungry applications like CD players, walkmans, palm pilots, digital cameras, etc. I'd like to see anyone get 500-1000 cycles our of a rechargable NiMH before having to buy a new one! Ha!

If you don't mind the "Made in China" variety, a good place for bulk batteries is e-bay.

If using them in digital cameras I would avoid using those cheap ones. I bought some from the dollar store, and the batteries died after 15-20 pictures. Engergizes lasted about 150-200 pictures

Note about rechargables. Rechargable Alkalines are much better sutied for those areas where NiMH comes up short. Pick the best tool for the job
