Some people at another site are saying they are getting phone calls from OD saying the coupon/code is not valid. Is anyone here getting that? I saw an ad that specifically shows the drive and the coupon code number so i wonder why it's not valid (if that is indeed true).

Yeah, it's very odd, 1888-GODEPOT said that you'd need a hard copy of the coupon for the store to accept it, the store said that they hadn't heard of the coupon, newspaperads.mercurynews.com seems to be skipping the page with the ad on - although the direct link still works:

Sounds like someone at OD fscked up. I heard they were cancelling orders - looks like this could be a buy-one-get-one for $80 off, but I guess the website accepted just buying one.

Mine's supposed to be delivered to my local store, but they seem to think it will be delivered to me, will have to wait and see, but I'm not paying more than $75, so they better be ready for some VISA refunds!

I've told myself that I'd never buy from OD again and I always fall for this crap.

I went down to the local B&M with my order ID# after ordering by phone. I even asked the CSR on the phone if I needed anything besides the order ID # and she said NO! I was turned down because I didn't have the actual coupon in my hand. And they were rather rude to me in the process! (and obvious alternate life-stylers too, if ya know what i mean) Westminster CA location

So while driving back I called the 1-800-GODEPOT number and talked to another CSR and told her I was refused at the B&M. She said yes this is the policy and I need to bring in the coupon. So I tried to have it shipped instead. She said that would be fine, but when it's delivered I need to show the friggin coupon to the delvery guy before they release it to me. WTF is their problem.

Once again I tell myself I will NEVER EVEN THINK OF shopping from OD again! What a fvck story, again!

Nope, just got back from Sunnyvale, they refused it, saying they couldn't even get the new store to keep me one. They couldn't even cancel my order!

Although the advert does actually say new San Jose store only, the website shouldn't have accepted it.

Might hang off cancelling my order until Monday, hey they might give in and accept it..... Doubt it. But if they're cancelling orders anyway, it will save me phoning the dicks at 1888-GODEPOT.

Well I did manage to find a nearby OD that had these in stock and was able to put one in my cart and get the discount. Unfortunately they were out of the Memorex DVD discs, so I wasn't able to get my order up to $150 to be able to take advantage of a discount coupon for $15 off $150 (printed from OD). Since I got my last 160 GB Maxtor from Staples for $34 AR I think I'll just pass on this and wait for a better deal.
