There are plenty of working coupons. I actually ordered the 200GB HD from Staples (about $120 + tax AC/AR) using a coupon and taking advantage of the free shipping.

To the best of my knowledge they arre backwards compatible all the waaaaaay back, not just ATA100. All you'll loose is the possible speed advantages of ATA133 over ATA100.
I don't have an XBox, so I don't know about this specific item, but, does the XBox have any limitations as to what size HD it can use? Sorta like older BIOS versions requiring controller cards to access the full capacity of the newer, large HDs.

Nope, no more barrier, they past the 137gb mark with a bios update! but this is a hella of a deal though ($ 1/2 for 1 gb) is a great ratio!

xp w/sp1 and your listed mobo has no problems with 137 and higher..my xppro is non-sp1 so did my fresh setup(no card or BIOS update) on a 30GB Maxtor..installed pretty much everything I was going to need then used Maxtor's utility(provided on the retail kit's CD also found on Maxtor's website) to migrate to the 160GB which I'm currently running with no probs on an an35n ultra. as always..ymmv and gl.

I posted the same question in the motherboards forum and found out that Win2k w/sp3 and this registry change would also work. I like Win2k more than XP, the only thing XP does quicker than 2k is boot. May be I'd have to upgrade to XP when nothing would work on 2k
