<< VH2000, can I possibly add a candy bar when I go to pick up the order to the hard drive? I didn't add anything else to the order originally cause the price of the drive alone was $109.99. You think I can come up with a candy bar, say, 'can I pick up my hard drive and buy this candy bar too?' and then suggest a price match to their website price of $99? Or will it not work? LOL, I know this is a real specific situation, I apologize, I just want to get an idea of how strict their policy is to adding items when picking up an order in store. I know they haven't charged the card yet, they just use it as authorization, then when you come to pick up they charge the card and check the ID. Any comments?
Peace >>
Actually, here's the whole senario.
I ordered one thru MY account online, at $99.00 price, to be delivered 12/11.
Then I ordered the one I told you about, thru a friends account, paid with his CC,
his name & address and made it for in-store-pickup. The price jumped to $109.99
when I selected -in-store-pickup, so I thru some pens in to bump order up another $1.xx.
BTW - I am reimbursing my friend for the full amount and then getting the rebate when it comes in.
What are friends for?? Multiple accounts, of course!!
So, I called store and asked them what I needed to pickup friends order that we
put thru under his account. She told me that they normally like you to have the actual
CC when picking up order, but with ID, I could just sign for it.
So, I went in and signed (didn't even ask for ID) and I asked about the pricematch and
she said she would do a return and reinvoice it at the lower amount, but I didn't have my
friends CC with me, so she said I could call with the info. When I got home, I called her back
with the CC number, she did a return credit for $109.99, charged $99.00, and ended up with
a credit of $11.87 to the card ($10.99 + tax). So, she did not even deal with the coupon
when she did the "exchange" receipt. She told me to just use the original receipt for
the rebate.
So, you may not have to worry about buying that Snickers bar, unless you're hungry of course!!
Hope this helps!!
