The price of the drive has dropped to 129.99 in store, then use the email coupons you can get off of fatwallet.com's forums. 129.99 - 20 = 109.99...or if the sales associate is really nice and validates both the 20 dollar and 10 dollar coupons and lets you use a student advantage discount, you could pay 89.99, like me

i think what happened here is rchang got a nice rep and that person allowed stacking of coupons and use of the student advantage discount. This won't work for everyone since some reps will not allow two coupons but I think use of one coupon and student advantage will be fine. rchang if i am wrong please correct me but that is what i am getting from your first post.

The ata card is around $30... so you can knock off another $20 (after the $50 rebate card/hdrive combo). You may not even be able to get the Ata for as low as $30 (more like $40-$50). So the $50 rebate could be a wash.

The in store rep, just took off both coupons without me even asking. I just handed her the email i printed out and my student adavantage card (thinking i'd get 30 off) and she just used 3 coupon codes for the transaction (2 email coupons, 1 student advantage). I thought the price sounded low so I looked at the receipt and the 3 codes were listed as -20 -10 -10 = -40 I have no idea if this would work at another store...

You can stack, but the dollar totals must be under your amount. So if you order something for 200 dollars, you can stack 2 x 20 off 100, but not 2 x 30 off 150.

I got it free in my campus mail because my school uses AT&T long distance. AT&T gave us free SA cards. The discounts at staples B&M's are 5 off a 25 dollar purchase and 10 off a 50 dollar purchase. If you want to get a card yourself you can go to studentadvantage.com and register, it's 20 bucks i think. I personally wouldn't pay for it, but if they are gonna give it to me for free i'll take it. It's not a bad deal getting 20% off a 50 dollar item.

I wasn't allowed to stack a 100 and 150 for 270 purchase, lucky, i was able to split it up and have a 165 and 105 orders. then they let me use 2 coupons ...

Wow, got the deal. Went to the Staples near me. Had to ask a guy stocking the shelves where the HD's were at and said he had to get them from the stock room.
Went to the cashier and presented the print out of the coupon and asked me if I wanted to use both coupons !
I said "sure".

I found out later that I could have PM to a small store near me for $117 for the drive. Ah, well...still got the drive for $99 + tax. Not bad.
