Geez.. I was just reading some of the reviews on Newegg about this drive. A lot of people say that it's nosiy and others are claiming that their drives died on them.

Got mine, working fine.
However, in the Chicago area (Downers Grove location), this is only good on the ATA/133 drive.
Oh well, SATA is for later I guess!

No it's not. The ATA/133 was in today's ad and the SATA drive was in Sunday's ad. Both sales run through Tuesday.

Here's the ad scan. Look to the right towards the bottom of the ad. Prices are good through Tuesday the 29th, so you can still pick up a SATA drive.

The SATA drives are sold out at the Atlanta Fry's. They had about 15 of the ATA-133 version of the drive that they were selling at the same price.

Just realized that the drive and my motherboard only have SATA connectors but the power supply only has the old style (Molex?) ones. Argh. Back to Fry's for a converter... make sure you have the new-style 15-pin SATA power connector otherwise you'll need one too!

The price went back up unfortunately.

I ordered it from Outpost when it said that the drive was unavailable. I checked my order status yesterday and it said that the product was backordered. I just got this email today.
