The first link worked fine. It's got low availability but it's still in stock. I got a reluctant CSR, she didn't want to PM OD. Gave a bunch of excuses, 3day shipping at OD as opposed to 1day staples, rebate makes staples drive cheaper, blah blah. Sounded like she was school by the head rep a few times. But it's a great deal nonetheless. I needed this drive. Thanks!

that's not bad, but staples rebates are not usually risky, so for $15~ or so, this deal is golden for a smaller capacity hard drive!

I checked out the rebate....it said at Staples.com only. Since this deal is via phone order, does Staples pack in the rebate with the order? Office Max and Office Depot didn't put applicable rebates in my orders before

If not, that could be an issue because the online one implies you have to order online.

I'm pretty sure that:
1. They will not send you a rebate form with your order
2. They will honor the on-line rebate form for a phone order purchase.

You might want to ASK them when you place your phone order.

i took this deal, fast and dont have to worry about the rebate coming in, it will take a while i know, but it will come, from what i understand about the dell deal, i did read it and i tryed to do one similar deal before trying to use two rebates with one thing, i called before (not this time) and the woman told me i would have to pick one rebate to use, and i could not use both, i wish you all good luck with that deal, but i just dont want to take the chance, this was fast and easy, less than three min on the phone, again good luck with the dell deal for those who took it

That's a pretty good point that I didn't think about either, but let's hope they give us the rebate anyway...if they look at the receipt, i'm thinking the online and phone order receipts look the same. the UPC should be fine regardless.

Hi All,
I must be missing something. I just got off the phone with staples, ordered the drive. No problem with the price match, coupon code, everything went smooth.
Now here's where I must be missing something. Staples site says the drive must be purchased between 8-31-03 and 9-20-03. the rebate to maxtor must be postmarked no later than 10-20-01 I think it is.
Did anyone else find a 30.00 rebate other than the one I talking about.
Any help would be appreciated

I think you're looking at the wrong rebate.

The correct one does not appear to be on rebateshq [yet].
