NightShadow, that fine print is just telling you what hard drive qualifies for the deal. You still need the card. A hard drive kit means it contains the Screws, brackets, cables and software. Kit is what they call the full retail box and OEM is just the bare drive. You will need to purchase the card also to get the rebate. If you read the whole fine print it says...
Purchase: Retail packaged Maxtor Ultra ATA/100 PCI Adapter Card purchased in combination with a Maxtor hard drive. Offer good on products purchased between September 24, 2000 $ January 27, 20001. Offer valid on hard drive kits 40GB or above starting with ST01, ST04, ST06, v06 and K04.
The last part just tells you what "kits" qualify for the rebate. "Kit" means hard drive.
Open your box and see that there is no card. Not a problem though just order the card online and use a $20 coupon to get it for $30.
