well, i just went into staples B&M, they had the drive in stock! so i PMed them against OD, and it came up to 119. the guy i had doing it for me was an idiot, so the manager had to come three times, but finally it worked. however, i couldnt figure out how to get the coupon at techb@rgains to work at the b&m. the cash register took it, but didnt give me a $ off amount. total was 129. not too bad i guess, some of you guys had a lot better deal. how did you guys figure out how to use the online coupons at the b&m?

got it today also...btw office depot inventory system (not website ) is messed up they are saying its 229.00 luckily the second time i called teh rep didnt mind and charged me 119.99 - 25 + tax = 102 something

Got my drive today from Staples....only ordered it on 28th.
It has the free 5 Gb. I live in NJ, shipped from CT.

Did OD pricematch to $120 hen $25 coupon = $95

Yo ubetter watch what they charge you, my packing slip did not show the pricematch, so I called up to check everything was ok. The guy who took it, noted it on my account but didn't do anything about.....the CS rep straightened things out though...very helpful

My Maxtor40 was delivered today. If it is one that includes the 5 free gigs will this be posted on the box? I examined the box (haven't opened it yet) and no where does it say includes 5 free gigs. Does this mean I didn't get lucky?

Well, didn't get as good of a deal as many of you... been away from the computer for 2 days, and I get screwed up the goatass... Got my drive from OD, for $116.50 shipped. Going to pick up the controller card now. Hey, if you guys run for the seat, I'll vote for you. Hehehe... anyway, Staples is finally getting smart. They probably have the drive in stock, but took it down from the page to prevent us from pricematching. Staples is suck!

Well I'll be damned, I just looked at my credit card charges today, and then went over to Officedepot.com to look at my order history. They took the $10 off coupon out before they charged my card. It looks as though I never even used the coupon. That just ticks me off. Since the order was completed a while ago, doesn't look like I have a way to fight it... guess I'll just eat the $10. Be warned...

[update] HeavyB pm'ed me and told me the same thing happened to him and suggested that I fight it. Well, I just did, called customer support and got the $10 credited to my card. They even gave me a confirmation number. ALRIGHT!!! Thank's HeavyB. That's another 10 rating for ya. (edit) Uhm, nevermind. I take it you can only rate a person once???
