Or you could buy the drive with the PCI Adapter Card which has a $50 rebate when purchased with the drive (available at maxtor.com) and you can use the $30 off coupon.

Total for me was 109.96(+tax) + 49.98 - 50 - 30 = 79.94 (+tax)

Thanx for the great deal. However, I am having a problem PMing with staples. I tried calling 2 CSRs and also their online support. The problem is this -
Since staples offers a free (Free after MIR) memory (128MB) along with the HDD, technically the one dell is selling does not qualify as the same product. So they will not PM.
Any suggestions/ ideas??

What about just doing the Hard Drive with the $25 off of $100 coupon? Will they let you do that? $5 really isn't too much to concern yourself with rebates anyway. That would be a great deal, and let me know if it works!

No they wouldn't do the HDD in itself too. They say the "product does not qualify for the rebate because of the Free memory offer".

I got encouraged by the reply from Justincase and tried once more. this time the CSR read out the staples policy to me and that clearly states which goes something liek this- if staples is offering a free item with the purches of another item, the combined price will be considered for price-match.
I guess I dont have the special skills that justincase has in pricematching.

Ummm...I dialed...that's pretty much it.

The only hitch in the whole call was that the CSR kept insisting that the PC133 RAM was $49.98, even though she was looking at the same item that I was...she later realized her error and corrected it. Other than that, nothing special about the order or call...I pretty much followed the instructions in the first post and added the other items I needed; no special skills other than my pleasant demeanor

Staples is making us very hard to PM, they keep changing their policy these days. BTW, there are spies and traitors among us, hijo de put@. I would now not buy anything from staples anymore and prefer to go somewhere even if at a higher price.

I called Staples about 8pm, and the CSR accepted PM, but he told me someone will review this dela and decide whether accept or not.
And I called them just before to verify my deal, but the CSR said this deal won't be honored because it comes with free ram. So I told her that I would buy the drive only with PM to dell and $25 coupon, but she said it would not be accepted too. What's the problem with STAPLES?

So I cancelled my order.

I just ordered...couldn't price match emmediately cuz of some virus they're afraid of, all systems down except the one that processes orders?!?! Anyway, the CSR didn't mention anything about the memory upgrade. She took the Dell info(price, item#) and said when things come back up, she'll check the price match. I went with the ATA100 card instead of the memory(prefer Crucial - 15% + 2ndDayAir) but that's just me. I'll check tomorrow to see if the PM went thru. Will keep you updated.
