This was a good drive in its day, but for $150, you're better off with an ide drive of at least twice the capacity these days.
Also, this drive runs SUPER hot. From the pic, looks like an atlas 10K II. 1.6" half height, with 10 (TEN) disks inside, spinning at 10K.. can you imagine the power this thing draws (and resulting heat it gives off).
I got one of these a while back from unity for $160. It worked for 2 or 3 months, then i started getting unusual lockups, and the drive eventually started giving me random r/w errors. Maxtor RMA'd it with a atlas 10K III drive which has been running fine for the past 5 months or so.
So it turned into a good deal, ultimately, if I had to do it again, I'd prob get another ide of larger capacity for the $$$.
