hi there, im just wondering ... I have a maxtor 250Gb SATA. Can I install this hardaware upside down i meant the logo of maxtor downward?.....Will it help the air flow from the generated heat (hard disk)...

BTW if upside down will it damage the hard drive , performance degrading?

Thanks

You can mount hard drives any way you want, even vertically, just not at an angle.

I've never heard about one side of a hard drive being significantly hotter than the other. Where did you get this info from?

This is true.
With regards to one side of the drive being hotter, it's more a myth than anything. Just remember (Waiko) that heat rises, so the upper side of the drive will be ever-so-slightly warmer. You probably won't notice it, the difference is so slight.

So when heat rises upper case (regardless of logo face side) will be warmer. Should I leave some space in between hard drive , if so how?....
