Just an FYI, but this is an all the time deal. Radioshack has been selling tubes of silicon-based heatsink compound for $4.95 for a while now. I just put some on my K6-III a couple weeks ago, and it dropped the temp a good 10 degrees C. It's great stuff for the price, comporable to anything else you could buy.

Not a hot deal. Warm at best. The $30 "list price" they provide
is ridiculous. This tube sells for about $7 or less
anywhere you find it...Not a bad price with shipping included,
but nothing to get excited about.

After using the paste, are the cpu and the heatsink glued?Can I still seperate the heatsink and the CPU later if I want to use a better fan?

They are not glued. Thermal epoxy and other adhesives bond whereas thermal transfer compounds usually don't. I'm using this and it has not hardened and is still the same consistency as when I applied it.

CLiu: The Taisol comes with a thermal "phase change" pad, which many people use satisfactorily. But some people are scraping off the pad to the metal, and then applying the thermal compound--which is what I plan to do. Probably not a whole lot of difference either way.
