Maybe Democrats are starting to get it:

I really liked this part:

" Economics is our strength, and we are going to get at it. "

And the DNC is 3.3 million in debt as of June 2017.

Economy does better under Dems than Reps it's a fact to most people
However I'll say in recent times Bush Jr, Bush Sr were decent guys but they didn't surround themselves with the best advisers

This is just Schumer, though. He's one who has indicated before Democrats needs to go in more progressive direction, but there are many other Democrats who are still resistant to it.

They should probably talk to Trump for advice on how to get out from debt using the bankruptcy laws. I hear he has had quite a ton of experience down that road.

Or maybe the Republicans that brought in >13 Million...

Yeah, I agree with economics for messaging, but this slogan won't work:

"A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages"

Dems suck at branding.
I think that would make an fascinating thread if people could put some thought into it instead of point out how stupid everybody else is for missing the point. Briefly, I would say branding is a process by which emotional associations are created between one thing, say a party, and some morally appealing quality. Democrats, then, will be disadvantaged by such attempts because they only have two major areas of morality that interests them whereas conservatives are concerned about many more. Democrats will have to figure out what those other moral areas are, why they are of value to conservatives, and coopt them in the light of reason. Let's just take a one example, respect for authority. Democrats are more impervious to dictatorship because they are less likely to follow a cult of worship for authoritarian individuals. The way to combat that, I would offer, is to hammer endlessly on the fact that real respect, the good part of respect for authority, is that it must be earned. Democrats need to rebrand conservative moral values by participating in their definition, not reject they as morally corrupt values because they are real moral concerns with real genetic and evolutionary roots. Like anything else they can be corrupted and abused by people whose morality is the acquisition of power.

That will always be true of a party whose basic branding is done by the real masters of that craft, Corporate America, for the purpose of insuring that people favorable to passing legislation that serves their financial interests win elections. Once the Republicans become the brand that is emotionally tied to your own personal ethics and ethos, they know your gut will do the rest no matter how badly is damages your own class financial interests.

Which is the exact same logic as, "Trump is a billionaire. He must be good at economics." Is that why you voted for him?

No it isn't. Plus that would be stupid.
I have said many times in this very forum that I voted for Trump for the supreme court nominations and that alone is what swayed my vote. Oh that and and I hate Hillary Clinton.

Since you have your Supreme Court and that was your reason wonder why you continue making excuses for him?

I don't make excuses, I just don't fall for the rumors and innuendo. I'd rather wait for the real facts and let the judicial system do it's job. I'm not into pitchforks and torches. Yet anyway.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Grat's on voting for a swindler. At least the pizza shop child traffic ring was busted.

In his defense he is essentially a one issue voter, he preferred whom Trump would appoint vs Hillary. I can't think of a time that geek has blown Trump other than maybe some Russia denial early on but it appears he has rethought that.
