I do live in fear of offending someone in OT, so instead of posting here and starting a mindless thread about my favorite color, to avoid running afoul of the rules, I post stuff elsewhere.

The really funny stuff comes from other forums, like that bodybuilding forum where the guy drew pics of women on dating sites, I laughed my ass off, but don't think a thread like that would last here, it'd get locked...

The mods used to be a little friendlier IIRC. I asked who moved a thread and why they didn't bother to leave me a note per their guidelines and you would have thought I was trying to sell LSD on the forums, fuck...

Don't want to call out anyone, but some newer posters are pretty sad.

I think a part of it obviously has to be credited to a general change of internet culture and patterns, but I'll join the moderation chorus. There used to be more fun and playful threads, though what some of us call playful others might complain of as trolling, while what I see as obvious and annoying trolling that never would have happened back in the day is allowed and psuedo-sactioned.

It's not as active as it was during the Night Crew's dominant time, but I much prefer it now to ~2007-2008. The trolls have improved again, the rules are more lax, and the pissing matches pissier.

If Perknose didn't spend all the time he'd spent here over the last ten years, the forums would very likely have been shut down. I dont' think most people realize the effort that goes into the moderation, especially from the "super mods". Mods aren't perfect but they do a job that is very under-appreciated.

ha-ha-ha...unfortunately, I had to wade through quite a bit of that thread to find it...and sadly, it's only a vacation...not a ban.

You are becoming a nuisance here to the rest of the forum. I suggest you use your time of to look at what you are doing here.

If you continue to post as you do, you will be treated the same as any number of trolls that frequent this forum.
