i've also noticed that people are less friendlier and provide less useful answers, they all act like a caveman now. same thing i have noticed on comments sections on news sites, snarky trolls trying making rude comments
Not so long ago (though it's ages ago in internet time) people referred to "netiquette".
Now it's all about not being a big enough ass that you get banned. i.e. the way things are now on forums you get rewarded with attention if you can troll effectively. Intelligent arguments, helpful posts, and insightful comments are still valued, but not so much as wisecracks and tasteless imagery are increasingly bartered commodities.
I wouldn't say these forums are dying by any means, but the golden age has waned. Social networking is far more accessible to most people, and many of the brightest of old ATOT have no time for this site.
While I'm sure that's true, many of us realize Harvey is a "behind the scenes" workhorse...and appreciate the work he does.
Fortunately, such behavior is generally only tolerated in the social forums, not in the "real forums" where the actual work is done...it's like clowning in the break room...but not in the factory. (except for the looney bin known as Video Cards and Graphics)

I dont' think most people realize the effort that goes into the moderation, especially from the "super mods". Mods aren't perfect but they do a job that is very under-appreciated.
