Dude, you are my hero, except you have to stick Thundercats in there somewhere.

I'd have to rate my favorite cartoons in this order:
Transformers
He-Man
Thundercats
GI-Joe
Voltron

do we have a closet she-ra fan here???:Q

That's an exact list of all the shows I used to watch
I have a She-Ra doll (still have all my toys) only because my mom got it so she could play He-Man with me. Hey I was 6-7 then.

Cool find! I have to get this.

<< Are these the newer Transformer cartoons, or the ones from 15 years ago when I was a kid? >>

Are we getting that old?
It feels like it was yesterday.

Didn't the last simpsons come out on DVD like November? Does that mean there will be 9 months between every release? This will take forever! Just like Groening said in his letter in the first season case, we'll probably be able to complete our collection just before the next format comes along...

Then again, I'm the sucker who'll buy everyone the day they are released

You guys forgot about a couple more cool carttons of the 80's!

Like these:

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors
Gobots
Centurions
Space Ace
Dragon's Lair
Galaxy High
My Pet Monster
Flipside (from Kidd Video) http://www.kvflipside.org/

as well as:

Strawberry Shortcake
Rainbow Brite
Carebears (care bear stare!)

Tons more at this Link

Have fun reminiscing about the 80's cartoons, since no one can do any better in creating such works of art in this day & age in america!

(Yeah, Transformers are my favorite too, I gotta get that set!) ^_^

I even have the original tape for M.A.S.K. (by Kideo Video)

Anyone remember the Live Action Show: Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future? That was sweet. It was the first show ever to have 3D graphics for it, as well as 3D Characters, Like Sauron & Blastarr.
They gotta release this show on dvd!

They Gotta Release all of this stuff on DVD! Let the 80's Boom Begin!

I dont know when it'll ever be released here, same for futurama. It came out over in the UK because they dont have syndication or something like that.

I've sold most of my sealed TF toys, but I still have most toys loose. I'll have to get them out and play with them when I get the DVD. Woot!

Here Here Brother Joyride.

w00t for Voltron!

I still have my ORIGINAL official member Voltron poster framed in my room! (Sad... I think not)

I was hyper when they started replaying the episodes on cartoon network circa '97 (do they still do?)

If it ever came out on DVD...oh my god.....

Anywho... Bump for Voltron...

Woo hoo!

Yes, the publisher changed the release date of Season 2 until 7/23. Season 1 is the only one available now at a B&M.

you guys all forgot Robotech!!!!. just unbelievable!.

and there was Gem and the Holograms , and Captain Harlock n Captain Future, Ewoks, Gummi Bears, oh yeah, Care Bears too. hehe.

and last but not least, My Little Pony!. lol.

i have the intro's in QT format for robotech, mask, he-man, she-ra, voltron. nostalgia just eats up hd space. but you gotta have it!

and not so nostalgic but still really cool, you can find episodes of The Tick floating all over the net. the cartoon show, not the dumb live action thing.

it seems all they do these days is repackage pokemon and its ripoffs and thats saturday morning fare now. get em while they're young i guess.

and it really does feel like yesterday..

Can everyone here agree that the 80's was arguably the best decade ever for cartoons.

Maybe I am biased since I am an 80's cartoon kid but they just don't make them like they used to.

Smurfs rock to and I still catch myself watchin Sesame Street once in a while to

I just read an article in Time Magazine about the death of Saturday morning cartoons. It's really sad actually, and it looks like it's the fault of Congress and cable companies. Congress passed a bill in the early 90's requiring TV networks to brodcast a set percentage of educational programing per month. This removed a lot of our favorite cartoon shows in exchange for "The Zoo Review" and other educational and "Live" morality type shows (Saved By the Bell type stuff). Cable companys saw an opertunity stepped in with specialized channels that broadcast cartoons and kids shows 24 hours a day, making the ritual of Saturday morning unneccesary. Heck, I'm 31, and I admit that Cartoon Network is my favorite cable channel!

What saddens me is that my kids will never get to experience the fun of getting up at 7:00am on Saturday, plopping down in front of the TV with a giant bowl of "technicolor cereal", and getting excited when Sigmund the Sea Monster started up. Or HR Puffinstuff, or Jabber Jaw, or Speed Buggy, or Superfriends, or Thundarr the Barbarian, or Laff-O-Lympics....man...I could go on forever! Thanks again to the government for taking away yet another simple pleasure from life
