Miracle Whip is more than mayo with sugar.
Miracle Whip: a product blending mayonnaise products and less expensive salad dressing, including more than 20 different spices.
Mayo has oil, salt, and vinegar or lemon juice.
Mayo is a savory ingredient.
May is not a SWEET condiment.
If they add more than 20 different spices, you can't really taste them. I make Miracle Whip at home (do it once or twice a year when I have left over eggs)
Basically you make mayonnaise, which in itself is just egg yolks, vinegar or lemon juice (I make it with lemon juice if we have it with lobster), a little bit of sugar and some oil.
If I want to make Miracle Whip, you make a roux with some flour, water, a little more sugar, some paparika, and maybe a little dry mustard. Heat it up until it gets thick, then you add it to the mayo and whip it.
Miracle Whip is nothing more than mayo with a thickening agent added to it to make it creamier, and a few more light seasonings. There's nothing strange about it.
