And in one location. Or are you saying he's able to get around the 100 miles of PR when nobody else can?

Exactly. He is like a climate change denying agenda driven assclown... the weather outside my front door is cold today. Clearly the world is fine...

It's one thing to get supplies to Puerto Rico. Officials at the Department of Homeland Security, which administers FEMA, say moving goods around the island is the bigger challenge.

Diesel is short. Trucks are scarce. And authorities say some roads are still impassable. Vessels can get cargo to the island but the real difficulty is getting the goods to the people. This has NOTHING to do with striking truck drivers. This has everything to do with needing the resources of our Military to start providing air drops. The fact that this has NOT started yet, just proves that Trump punishes all brown people that don't vote for him and even the ones that do in the fallout of his fragile ego crumbling...

But fuck yeah.... Geraldo knows more!!!!!!!!

No it isn't a good situation there and having a president that spews garbage towards people in their hour of need is completely unbecoming of the office of the president of the U.S. Considering their geographical location its difficult to pre-stage aid as it would've become subject to loss just like the rest of the island. Island officials must bear responsibility for poor planning which contributes to the current situation.

No amount of planning was going to help. They got whipped, it's an island, what are they supposed to do?

While I find DT appalling PR would be in the same boat no matter who the president was.

And I guess you're entitled to that no matter how much it confuses me. The safe money is on no other possible politician choosing a time like this to advance a culture war then deride a mayor asking for help, not to mention his opponent actually wanting to avoid repeating the mistakes of Katrina. As PotUS, Hillary would have have almost a year to get ready for this by working on the bipartisan findings on the study she tried get started but the republicans shut down. Hard points difficult for me to ignore.

Their psychological state would be much improved if the president were a true statesman and handled them properly.

Agreed, but I'm done expecting presidential behavior from someone who has for years shown he is unfit for office. It's only about him, fuck brown people - especially losers in debt. Even the clueless and detached Dubya eventually got on board and was kinda remorseful about the many failings after Katrina. All the lying w/ Chertoff, etc, he actually "took responsibility" for that (supposed to mean something with republicans). I think it's clear we'll see no such reluctant humility from Il Douche, who is already patting himself on the back whilst pointing a tiny accusing finger at people who are dying, and Dems.

We don't have a president.

For starters, you analyze your past failures so you know what to avoid, what to pursue when time is of the essence. For the record, I don't think anyone took this storm seriously enough, Puerto Ricans included.

You know what doesn't help when Americans have unfed babies in sweltering heat and are out of clean water to drink? Bringing up the debt crisis. Stoking inflamed cultural and racial issues in lieu of time spent on disaster coordination and focus.

And that will help with washed out road and total power grid failure how?

He is Puerto Rican. He is currently in PR. He has family in PR. He's telling the truth, unlike the piece of shit mayor and governor.

From his wiki:
Rivera was born at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, New York, the son of Lillian (née Friedman) and Cruz "Allen" Rivera (October 1, 1915 – November 1987), a restaurant worker and cab driver respectively.[4][5] Rivera's father was a Catholic Puerto Rican,[6] and his mother is of Ashkenazi Russian Jewish descent. He was raised "mostly Jewish" and had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony.[7][8] He grew up in Brooklyn and West Babylon, New York, where he attended West Babylon High School.

Definitely the voice of the island.

Hmmm, Geraldo was saying something different a couple of days ago. Don't tell me he is doing all of this for the ratings..............

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017...r-fellow-americans-need-help-not-lecture.html

President Trump knows Puerto Rico well enough to know that it needs compassion and generosity now, not lectures on previous fiscal difficulties. If this island commonwealth is to survive, it needs folks back in the states to remember these people sweating and worrying about their future are their fellow Americans.

I don' think anyone cares about his motives... His opinion is < those of Homeland Security and FEMA or some "police officer from PR" who called into a radio show. That's the point.

You keep posting this like it's a real thing. Just like most of your bullshit claims. Don't spam your fucking videos here more than once...

I am spamming?

Holy Shit! Good thing Hillary isn't the President.
I'm now only waiting for the inevitable it's Obama's fault.

How exactly does it remind you of PR, Trump is acting like Hillary or something else? Please be exact as possible otherwise it's just more of this

*my new favorite gif*

Tell it to this guy who probably knows just a bit more about this type of situation than you.

"When asked for his reaction to President Trump's tweets, Russel Honoré, the retired general appointed by Bush to take over the federal response to Katrina in 2005, said he had none.

"I have no reaction. The mayor's living on a cot, and I hope the President has a good day of golf," he told CNN.

Earlier this week, Honoré told CNN that the President's response to Maria shows that he doesn't care about the poor or people of color.

"The President has shown again he don't give a damn about poor people," Honoré told CNN's Erin Burnett. "He doesn't give a damn about people of color. And SOB that rides around in Air Force One is denying services needed by the people of Puerto Rico. I hate to say it that way but there's no other way to say it."

For everyone crying about providing aid to PR have you ever been personally involved with a logistics operation beyond climbing your fat asses into a car and driving to Walmart to get some groceries? It isn't as easy as you think it is and moving thousands of tons of supplies from staging areas to distribution points with multiple in progress operations is a logistical nightmare. I promise you that managers are having many sleepless nights as they struggle to manage the situation.

I feel for the people of PR but the mayors knee jerk plea for aide is a result of many years of failed planning on the part of local officials not to mention residents personal responsibility. I live along the FL coast and have food, water and fuel among other things set aside for use in a storm.

You are so much better than them; perhaps they should all just die.

But seriously, who is saying it is easy?

Most complaints are that it took Trump a full week to get off his ass and do his freaking job.

You obviously pulled that out of your ass. You must be a far left leaning person who feels that nobody should be personally responsible for their own actions unless your name is Donald Trump?

True somewhat but also you have to understand Puerto Rico is much poorer in general that FL. Many of the islands have at best an urgent care for health care provision and not even full hospitals. Many of the islands have more wild horses than people. And what many Americans don't know is a large part of Puerto ricos socioeconomic issues are due to us military and political policy in regard to this island. If you are interested look it up. It's quite shocking actually what the US did to PR for decades. Sure you can blame them for poor planning but on some level you're blaming poor people for being poor. It's no different than blaming people in Houston in lost their homes for not having flood insurance. When you're poor, flood insurance is a luxury you just can't afford.

To me my sense of offense comes from the freaking president of the United States inability to show empathy, ethics, morals and decency even in situations that are essentially political slow speed softballs that are thrown at him. The Charlottesville events were not toughies. The right words to choose for Harvey and Irma victims are not political mazes to navigate. Yet he just can't seem to show that he understands that part of being a president is offering compassion and empathy to people who are suffering.

Just my two cents.
