Mosley agreed to the testing that Pac Man did not.
That's why he lost.

So how is MW going to pussy out now? Gonna take on somebody else that isn't a top contender and promote the fight like it's the fight of the century?

Pacman agreed to blood testing a week before and directly AFTER the fight. He would not do random testing up to the fight because it means they could take blood at any time and he felt that a week before and directly after the fight was already enough. If you know anything about PED's you would know that it's not physically possible to hide something 7 days before and directly after a fight. Mayweather is using the random drug testing to duck and dodge Pacman yet again because he's a pussy and doesn't want to risk his legacy.
Mayweather should be kissing Manny's ass for a chance to fight him because Manny is a bigger star now, just compare ratings for Pacquiao/Clottey vs Mosley/Mayweather. Pacman has already taken Mayweather's "best pound for pound fighter in the world" nickname. Nobody gives a dam about Mayweather until he mans up and fights Pacman and only then can he remove all doubt and earn the right to say he is the "greatest of all time" (assuming he wins).
Are you suggesting olympic style testing is ridiculous and should be revamped, and/or isn't fair to athletes? I don't hear too many olympians complaining about it.
Well I agree that they should just both agree to the stupid tests and be done with it. Pacman views it as a disadvantage to have blood drawn too close before the fight which is his prerogative; he's never failed a drug test before nor been accused of cheating. And actually the original cutoff that Pac's camp agreed to was 24 days before the fight and right after which should still be fine. Freddie Roach (his coach) had verbally said a week but not sure why they didn't just do that.
Technically you *could* take PED's 24 days before a fight but it would still most likely be in a fighter's system after the fight. Unless they plan on taking them up to a week or so before the fight to improve training which I doubt would make that much of a difference. If someone's using them for a solid couple of months (like minor league baseball players) that's where you'd see a huge spike. But of course it's all speculation.
I am willing to help the sport for the future of the sport. I do not want to see anyone cheat or cheat this sport. For that reason I am willing to consider taking blood [tests] as close as 14 days prior to the fight, as long as my opponent does the same, and it is not a lot of blood, just enough to test," Pacquiao is quoted as saying on his official website.
Mayweather has no issue undergoing the same kind of testing as his opponent.
During the previous negotiation, Pacquiao had insisted on a cut off of blood testing 30 days before the fight and eventually moved to 24 days when it came to light that he had taken a blood test during that time frame before his second-round knockout of Ricky Hatton in May 2009.
Mayweather proposed a 14 day window during initial negotiations and pacquiao refused. now that Pacquiao accepted i'm betting Mayweather is going to insist on testing up until the fight. i don't think it's pacquiao making up his own parameters. his camp has said they would do whatever the commission asks them to do. it's mayweather making up the rules as he goes along. pretty smart of him though. he's controlling the fight before it even happens.
Why not just have both fighters give the same amount of blood on the same days so that neither is at an advantage over the other? Sounds simple enough to implement. The way Pac seems to tire less than his opponent and keep his punching speed hints more at blood doping than steroids.
looks like they are.uhmm....exactly. The commission isn't interested in real anti-doping programs.
