That fight was a disgrace. Yes, Ortiz intentionally headbutted him, and felt guilty about it, spending a little too much time apologizing. But it was clear that he wasn't ready to fight and the ref wasn't ready for them to fight yet. Mayweather took a cheap shot.

You can't excuse Floyd because he got headbutted... Ortiz lost a point and it could have been a clean fight after that, but Floyd showed how classless he is. Not only did he make himself look bad, he made the whole sport look bad. If you can even call it a sport after shit like that.

Fixed that for you. Ortiz had the range and was starting to get to Mayweather easily. For the first time maybe ever Floyd was getting hit hard and often and looked lost as to how to keep Ortiz off of him. He was worried about losing the fight, so he took the cowards way out.

From what i have read about what happened i don't feel sorry for Ortiz at all. he takes a illegal shot and mayweather made him pay. next time maybe he will fight within the rules

I don't think it was an intentional cheap shot. I've only seen clips so I don't know if the ref already brought them back to start fighting, but it seemed that way, since they weren't separated. shitty ending but what are you gonna do

The ref clearly says "let's go" and motions for the fighters to resume several seconds before. For some reason the ref was looking to the side and talking to someone at the side of the ring after motioning for them to go, but he did start the fight.

Dominate? Hardly. The fight I watched had Mayweather throwing pillows with Ortiz taking it and when Ortiz did connect Mayweather was counting the pink ponies jumping over the stars he was seeing.

looks as if the ref is talking to someone outside the ring and not even looking at the fighters. or he just sucks. every time i have seen a ref restart the fight he does it in between the fighers not 2 ft off to the side and not looking at them.

It wasn't a bitch move. The ref did a shitty job and Ortiz wasn't paying attention for whatever reason, but I don't think mayweather is at fault here at all. The ref and Ortiz were to blame imo. mayweather saw the fight start and he fought. it's instinct. he sees the ref start the fight, they touch gloves, and he attacks. he might have seen ortiz not paying attention, but either way, I don't think he stopped and said, "oh look, he's not ready, let me cheap shot him." I dislike mayweather as much as the next guy, but he didn't do anything wrong
