Mine is 8.5 qts, and it specifies full synthetic. Who can beat that?
My DB605D takes 52.8 quarts....beat that.
(I wish I had one )

When I had my Volvo 770 with DD13 it did take around 42 quarts.

Christ. Over 10 gallons? I know a semi, but still.
Apparently a Bugatti Veyron takes 42qts as well.
Maybe he doing mad donuts and the g-forces caused the oil pump to suck air. So a bigger/deeper sump may have prevented the problem
Meh. I can do that in my civic
Just keep receipts for the oil and filters. That should satisfy any warranty concerns.Turbo is water cooled but oil lubricated. I don't know how one would prove oil changes done yourself either. I just write mine down and/or record them on a website. Subaru for example has a owners' website where you can record service yourself and it will show up with whatever service is done at a dealer.
I'm no engineer, but I think you'd run into bearing failure prior to overheating if you had poor enough oil that you overheated a watercooled turbo.
Got the car back.
Burning smell coming from the engine, can smell in the cabin?
Turbo breaking in? Really don't want to drive all the way back to the dealer
And if something is really wrong, new engine!Quite possible that some oil, or other fluid, was spilled on the exhaust. If it doesn't go away soon bring it back in.
