MB Suggestions for my Tbird 1.33 and ECC Ram...

I have a T-Bird 1.33 and (2) 256MB Registered ECC DDR 2100's that need a MB home..

Anyone have any suggestions (known to work suggestions)..

Got a budget in mind for this? That would help. Looking for future upgrade-ability or best bang for the buck right now? That would help also.

I'm not looking at upgradability, but I'd like to keep the MB costs at around 100 (max)...

Is it critical that the MB take advantage of the ECC RAM? There are a great deal of MB's with the KT333 chipset out there that would/should be your first choice. The Epox offerings seem to be the most popular at the moment, followed by the ones from MSI. You might have to look around to find an Epox within your budget but NewEgg has some offerings from MSI that should be in your range. With most of these, you can get USB2 and you will have the ability to increase performance by adding faster RAM later on. So, you will get a good "bang for your buck" and upgradeability. Best of both worlds.

Personally, I am not a big fan of ABIT. Too many problems with RMA's. Others have had better success though.

Take another look at the offerings and see if you can get something like the Epox, an ASUS or even an MSI board: In that order (and this comes from an ASUS user). You'll be glad you did.
