It is in fact an excellent editorial, perhaps the best I have read on this subject. Personally I am highly suspect of anyone whose viewpoints on issues have not changed at least to some degree over the years. The Israeli situation is a fine example. It is indisputable that the positions supported by the US and Israeli administrations (which are significantly different between them) are not positions that can be sustained over the long term without continued massive input of money and blood. And as Kalidid himself points out, the Palestinians position is basically untenable as well.

Hehehe. Good one. Actually, I wish P&N didn't exist on this forum. It used to be a great forum ... in its day. I didn't accumulate nearly 13,000 posts on P&N by any stretch of the imagination. Computer hardware, software, etc. is what brought me here. Sadly, I have little interest in those areas at the moment because computers are fast enough, computers do all I need in the business that I work in, and I see no need to upgrade every few months. In fact, staying off of the hardware sections has probably saved me hundreds of dollars because I haven't been reading up on the "latest and greatest" - thus, removing the need for me to upgrade.
